The Zotero Connector saves locally to the Zotero desktop app by default. It's possible to give it permission to save directly to your online account from the extension settings, but that's not the normal way of using the extension.

Snapshot saving just isn't something that's available in the iOS app at this time, and it's unlikely to ever be available from the web version for technical reasons. The desktop app will always have vastly more functionality than any other version.
