disk I/O error @oksma: Note, though, that you're getting disk I/O errors in Zotero, which would cause all sorts of things to fail. This is a generic disk error, so we can't tell you specifically what the problem is, but the most common cause is havi…

Can you provide some screenshots of the error messages you're receiving and explain exactly what you're doing to trigger them? I don't think we've ever seen the error messages you're reporting, so either you're doing something odd here or there's so…
-
Sorry you're having trouble, but there's no point in just venting here. If you'd like to fix a problem you're experiencing, see Reporting Problems for the two things we always need in order to help. But for a communication error in Word, see one of…

Right, no, that's a misunderstanding. I'm explaining that, for the Zotero Connector to redirect a given domain through the proxy, it has to have seen that domain proxied previously, which can only be a result of either your website or the proxy itse…
-
But I think you may be misunderstanding what I'm saying? People downloading and installing Zotero on their own computers isn't at all relevant to the question of whether something changed about your institution's proxying behavior. I'm just saying …

I find myself mistakenly occasionally clicking to the yellow banner prompt, to get rid of the prompt. I'm not sure what you mean by this?
-
OK, but again, there haven't been any recent changes to proxy behavior from us, so if you're "suddenly being inundated" with reports, something would've had to have changed on your end.
-
(Also, the Zotero Connector should be showing a banner after it redirects a given URL that allows you to remove a given domain from the list of proxied URLs. For technical reasons, that banner at times hasn't been shown properly. If you can reproduc…

This also could be a change in how your proxy handles unsupported URLs. E.g., if you 1) accidentally proxied google.com and 2) the proxy server started rewriting other unsupported URLs on proxied sites, people who simply did a Google search and foll…

We haven't made any changes on our end, so this would have to be some change — likely a misconfiguration — on your institution's site. Zotero would only be adding domains that have been proxied by your institution once to its list of hosts for futur…

I've added a 7.0.32 tag. It's just the latest commit on the 7.0 branch. (And to be clear, 7.0.32 Linux tarballs are available from the download page. You don't need a git tag for that.)

@oliviacaroline: 1) https://www.zotero.org/support/forum_guidelines#etiquette — you can just explain the issue you're facing without the combative, hyperbolic tone. 2) We've said above in this thread that we'll be adding the ability to hide fields…

Can you provide a Report ID? Does it happen in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins? You can generate a bibliography with Quick Copy or the word processor plugin in the meantime

@karenmcmurray2008: I explained this above, multiple times. You’re just clicking the wrong button, or did previously and haven’t closed the yellow bar. Press Esc in the yellow bar and click Add/Edit Citation.

We can’t provide support for third-party WebDAV servers, sorry.

If you’re saying you don’t even see the library items on your iPad, those aren’t “files”, and you should follow the Changes Not Syncing steps instead.
-
We need what it asks for on the Files Not Syncing page — an attempt to open the file that can’t be opened.
-
The issue in the thread you posted to was fixed in version 2.0.4 of the app. If you're not seeing an annotation from your Mac on your iPad or iPhone, that's an unrelated issue. See Changes Not Syncing, and if you're still having trouble, provide th…

(+0000067): HTTP OPTIONS https://nextcloud.[…]/remote.php/dav/files/aee127fe-5e2c-103c-964e-d94861e1eaae/zotero/ The request timed out. An OPTIONS request to the server is timing out. That's all we can tell you.

OK, great. (To be clear, we didn't do anything.)
-
I don't see a successful opening of that file in that debug output.

You copied the files to the wrong location, copied the wrong files, or copied them while the database was in use and ended up with an empty file. If you provide the info at the end of Locating Missing Zotero Data (some of which can just be a screen…
-
Then we need to see a Debug ID for an attempt to open the file, as requested there. Your Debug ID doesn't show that.
-
I would guess that security software (or malware) on one or all of your computers is causing the files to become empty, and Zotero is then dutifully propagating those modified, empty files to other members' computers. But you'd need to check what I …

A zero-byte attachment has no data. There's nothing to repair beyond replacing the file with the original file. There wouldn't be a version-related difference in Zotero's ability to open it — there's absolutely no data to open. See my previous mess…
-
Storing the database on a network share may be less likely to work in Zotero 7. You can try the Zotero beta — which is based on an even newer Firefox version — to see if that's any different, but there's a good chance you'll need to keep the data d…

For problems with a plugin, you'll need to contact the plugin developer.

See Files Not Syncing for the info we need.

Based on the state of your online library, it looks like either you're using WebDAV on one device or you incorrectly ran Purge Storage in My Library at some point from your online sync settings. In any case, if you follow those steps carefully, it w…
