You really don't need to do things we don't ask for — please don't waste your time. If there's info we want, we'll ask for it. But we do need answers to the questions we ask, like my question above about the .json link.
-
I've pushed an update that will strip the trailing slash before adding ".json", so if my guess is correct that it works normally without the slash, that should fix it. Your Zotero should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update translato…

I can't test due to the redirect, but does this URL give you an error, or does it give you JSON? https://sh.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/1g6t8wg/why_alpine_linux_is_my_new_favourite_distro.json Our Reddit translator adds .json to the URL, which in …

But assuming you're talking about some sort of saving problem, do you know what causes it to redirect or not? It's redirecting to www for me, logged in or not, so I'm not able to test saving from the sh URLs.

You don't need to continue — it's fixed.
-
You have to say what the problem is. You don't need to post error messages here or copy the contents of error reports to pastebin — that's what the Report ID is for. But we need an actual written description of whatever problem you're actually expe…

The forum problem is probably fixed now. You should start a new thread and try to report whatever you're trying to report again.
-
Actually, the error would be saving to the database, so you should do what I say above and try to edit your post with whatever you were trying to post, and then cut it down to find the offending character if necessary.
-
For the forum problem, can you edit your original post above with what you were trying to post? If not, you should cut it down to find out what specific character or whatever is breaking things. I can at least preview the contents of your post in a …

Thanks. Fixed now — immediately for Reddit (for which we were saving invalid URLs without https://) and more generally in Zotero Connector 5.0.157 for Firefox.
-
There's just not much we can say on this other than that editing a document in a tool outside of Word is very likely to break things. Beyond that you'd have to ask iEnvision if they properly maintain Word field codes — that's all Zotero citations ar…

(Please start new threads for new issues — the thread you posted to isn't related at all. I've moved this to a new thread.) This would happen if you used "Replace Online Library" from an empty local library — that would wipe out your online library…

Can you provide an example URL?
-
Can you provide a Debug ID for reproducing this? (You have to start logging in the app, switch to Safari, save, trigger the error, and then switch back to the app and submit the output.)
-
We always need an example URL for problems with saving. If you're having trouble saving across many sites, see Troubleshooting Problems Saving to Zotero.

This should be fixed in the latest beta.
-
I'm not sure why the title-case option is lowercasing letters within words, though. We'll fix that. This is fixed in the latest Zotero beta, and the fix will be included in a future release.

No, please don't tag specific people for general questions. https://www.zotero.org/support/forum_guidelines#etiquette https://www.zotero.org/support/forum_guidelines#be_patient

It's not meaningful. The latest version of the Zotero Connector for Firefox has improved support (pending an upcoming update to the desktop app) for saving PDFs from sites with rigorous anti-bot protections, and one of the technical mechanisms we us…

Fixed in Zotero Connector 5.0.156 for Firefox, available now. Thanks to @kennymed for reporting.

No need for an example — this is a bug in the latest Zotero Connector for Firefox, which was just released. We'll have a fix shortly.

The main thing is that highlighting would generally be much faster and more precise with an Apple Pencil.

OK, got it. We'll look into adding this to the new citation dialog in 7.1. In the meantime, note that you can always paste it into the search bar (in All Fields & Tags mode) in the main Zotero window and then insert the selected item from the ci…

@vt: But how would you be getting the DOI to paste in? If you're searching by title, you can just do that in the citation dialog. If you're browsing your library, you can select the item in your library and then insert it as the selected item from t…
-
I'm not sure what you mean by that. Merging two items doesn't change the collection you're in at all. Can you explain exactly what you're doing and what's happening? See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need. Make sure you're testi…
-
Those aren't recent changes — that hasn't been merged. But it will probably fix this for you, so we should wait to investigate. We'll make an announcement about improved saving once that's available in the Zotero 7.1 beta, likely in the next week or…

No, many collections and items were deleted on March 23, but there were no recent deletions before then and there have been none since (unless you restored from a backup and used Replace Online Library). (We haven't received an email from you.)
