Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins. If that fixes it, you'll need to identify the plugin that's causing it and then report the problem to the plugin's developer.

(Please start new threads for new issues — the thread you posted to isn't related. I've moved this to a new thread.) It just sounds like you have file syncing set to "as needed". Show File doesn't trigger downloads.
-
It's about network requests. Zotero generally works offline, but attachment saving, error reports, and obviously stuff like syncing requires network requests. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/zotero_and_firewalls

"Debug ID" in my post above is an underlined link. But yes, if you're getting an error even submitting debug output, all network connections from the app are likely blocked/broken by your institution, and PDF saving won't work. Zotero would general…

Unless I'm misunderstanding, (2) is "yes" also. Items in different libraries are separate and have separate item keys. (Item "ids" are internal, numeric, local-only identifiers — that's not the right term here.)

No, don't delete the data directory. That's not a troubleshooting step. This is a problem with your internet connection or WebDAV setup.
-
I'm afraid all I can tell you is that some of your download requests are timing out due to inactivity.
-
I'm not sure why you think this is a compatibility issue with macOS 15.4 when you were seeing the same issue in macOS 15.1.1? The extension is working for me in 15.4. I'm afraid we don't have much else to suggest here. You can look for errors — for…

It's explained on the linked page.
-
That's from the Zotero Connector, not from Zotero.
-
Though if PDF downloads are failing generally — including on article pages — that's likely a problem with the network connection of the app. If you provide a Debug ID from Zotero for reloading the URL and saving, we might be able to tell you more, b…

Zotero and the Zotero Connector are separate installations. You should ask them to update you to a current version of both. We can't help with problems with versions that are dozens of releases behind the current ones.
-
You should still follow that step just to confirm that you have the current version of the plugin.
-
"Debug ID" above, posted by AbeJellinek, is a link. Click on it for instructions for generating a Debug ID.
-
Literally "Edit Bibliography"? You should have an "Add/Edit Bibliography" button, not "Edit Bibliography". If you have "Edit Bibliography", something is very wrong, and you should follow Step 2 here to delete Zotero.dotm: https://www.zotero.org/sup…

Abe linked to instructions above. We'll need that to say more. There's no problem with the RIS file you sent. (To be clear, though, while this should certainly work in general, and this is some problem with your installation, you shouldn't be impor…

Is this on a very slow/bad connection? A 2 MB download is timing out after 30 seconds of inactivity.
-
Both ideally. We definitely want a Debug ID for the import attempt. You can also email the RIS file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
-
No, different items.

Zotero Connector: 5.0.114, extension You seem to be running a version of the Zotero Connector from 2023. Install the current version from the download page and check to make sure updates are enabled for your extensions.
-
https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/489529/#Comment_489529 You should also try to figure out which plugin caused this and report it to the plugin developer (and let us know).
-
Can you provide an example URL and Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for reloading the page and trying to save?
-
Can you share the names, either here or in an email to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
@Mos_yi: Same answer.
-
See Changes Not Syncing for what we need.
-
The tab bar, you mean? Can you reproduce this with all plugins disabled?
-
Take it out of the cloud storage system. Same as the data directory — there are database files in the profile folder as well, and while this doesn't risk your Zotero data itself, you can easily get profile corruption or unexpected problems this way.
-
Wait, what's the Status column? Do you have this in some sort of cloud storage system? Or is this a roaming profile? You can try deleting key4.db and logins.json and restarting Zotero, but there may be a more general problem with this folder.
-
Can you share a screenshot of the contents of your Zotero profile folder, including timestamps? You can post here or email to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.

Please don't create duplicate threads for the same issue. It just makes it harder for us to help you. I've merged your post back into this thread.
