I'm afraid you'll need to debug this on your end. This isn't a problem with the Zotero Connector. If this is a work computer, your institution may be blocking extension installs, or security software might be interfering.

What's the actual problem is that you're experiencing? See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need. Your error report shows that the Zotero Connector can communicate with Zotero.

You can try the Zotero 8 beta to see if that works better. This won't be fixed for Zotero 7.
