Thanks -- found them.

Thanks. It's at https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_shortcuts. Sorry -- do you mean the Word or Zotero File menu? And how do I find the Zotero shortcuts?
-
Thanks. Good to know.
-
Thanks. I'd certainly come across the first two threads, but as far as I can see the changelog page only goes as far as 5.0.96.4 -- i.e. the release version. I can't see anything about beta releases (unless it's right under my nose and I'm missing i…

It works really well; great feature to have. Thanks.
-
Hah! Thanks a bunch for this very useful information. Those shortcuts do the job very nicely, don't they?
-
True, but back to my comment about precision: scrollwheels tend to move the document in jumps of several lines. Sometimes it's useful to be able to scroll the document in smaller increments and position it exactly where you need it. Back to my origi…

Good point. It also allows for more precision when you're examining a figure or table that's larger than the visible window so you're having to scroll back and forth a lot to take it all in.
-
I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. I've always liked using the hand tool in apps like Adobe Acrobat for moving back and forth in pdf documents. Given that, at least on my copy of Acrobat, which is getting old this is the default mode…

Thanks, @dstillman -- that's a relief.

I notice that the questions from @robynlyn and me, in essence about whether, when the PDF reader is implemented for Group libraries, users who haven't updated to the Beta will still be able to use those libraries, haven't yet been answered (unless I…

@dstillman This really is a superb, extremely useful addition to Zotero which has amazing promise. Clearly it's taken a lot of work, for which, very many thanks. An observation and a question: 1. In terms of performance on my rather elderly Win 10 …

Of course. Sorry, and thanks.

Thanks, and it'll be good to see the updated citation dialog. But I can't for the life of me see where you can search by tag in the classic dialog.
-
Definitely an eyesight problem on my part ;) I stared at that tab without seeing the checkbox. Sorry to waste your time.
-
My apologies, but I can't for the life of me see the tiny arrow, or even a red bar, in the "Cite" tab of Zotero preferences. I'm using 5.0.93. The only way I've found of using the classic dialog is by clicking the down arrow by the Z in the new red …

Right again. I'm new to CSL JSON, but I now see that if the date is formatted as: "issued": { "raw": [2009] } it imports into Zotero just fine. I'll tell the AnyStyle.io dev about it. Thanks again for your help.
-
Yes, you're right. I don't know what happened there. This is what I should have copied to the post: [{"author":[{"family":"Hall","given":"P.A."},{"family":"Gingerich","given":"D.W."}],"title":"VoC and institutional complementarities in the politica…

Actually, it's very compact, so I've posted it here. It was generated by https://anystyle.io/ -- is there some obscure syntactical error? [{"author":[{"family":"Hall","given":"P.A."},{"family":"Gingerich","given":"D.W."}],"title":"VoC and instituti…

...and working well. Thanks again.

On behalf of my fellow Canucks, much appreciated; thanks.

Yes, I appreciate that user-editable fields accept ISO, which is very helpful. The problem I'm having, and I don't think I'm alone, is that if the language is set to Automatic (English), then Zotero isn't picking up the appropriate date for the loc…
-
At least some of the comment in the earlier threads was about the apparent impossibility of getting standalone English-language Zotero to show dates in ISO format, which is desirable partly because it's increasingly widely used, and partly because i…

Thank you. That cured the problem.

Zotfile on a different machine is now not moving attachments to the specified custom location (on OneDrive, which is also specified as the linked attachment base directory) when I right-click on the attachment and select Manage Attachments > Rena…

Thanks -- that explains it. It was a big batch of references, and I subsequently did it successfully by breaking it up into smaller batches. No, you're right, I wasn't using XLS. It was XML. Well, I got the "X" right. Oops.
-
I notice, too, that when Zotfile moves an attachment to the OneDrive folder, it leaves the subfolder in the Zotero storage directory that previously held the attachment. This subfolder contains two files (.zotero-ft-cache and .zotero-ft-info). Perha…

Yes, that's right. Zotero 5.0.74 on Windows 10 1903. Where can I find the Zotfile version?
-
Yes, it does, and thanks for your help. Also, after a good night's sleep Zotero/Zotfile have started to put attachments in the OneDrive folder when they're dragged from e.g. the desktop to a reference in Zotero. Additionally, importing references fr…
