Norton could be interfering. Try disabling it and sync again.

If you "share", then you will have to upgrade to at least the 2.1 betas in Firefox, and any unforeseen issues with the Standalone will affect your original database. The safest ways to try Standalone without moving to the alpha/beta world are to ru…

Sorry about that -- the translator needed to be updated for the changes in the translator infrastructure in the 2.1 betas. Try the version up now at the same link.
-
Sorry -- only core devs have access to submitted debug data. Hopefully one of them will be able to take a look and say what's happening.
-
So you're set now? It sounds like things are working now.
-
Usually we will maintain both versions in the style repository for precisely that reason.

My concern is that these cite keys are not very nice. While they are stable and unique, they will have to be copied and pasted anyway. The export translator I linked to should make it possible to get citekeys by typing Ctrl-Shift-C and pasting into …

I haven't worked with this significantly, so I really can't say how Jonathan's code works. The original Zotero RIS translator doesn't let you specify the path, as far as I know. Support on the weekends is a little but slower-- but this _should_ work…

So the idea here is that biber will query the local database or online library and feed that into BibLaTeX? Zotero here would then work as a backend for BibLaTeX. Nice. ItemIDs will work, but they're really not very pleasant-- hexadecimal strings. …

COinS works for me. Tested on the project page: http://ocoins.info/ Can you provide an example URL?
-
Try again after the current server upgrade-- it will be easier to diagnose when the sync times drop to the several seconds -- several minutes range.
-
Yes, this is quite doable. One relatively easy approach is opening a read-only connection to the Sqlite database. Even better, you can build off of Gnotero, which gives you Python bindings for read access to the database.

The community involvement here is less about big announcements and well-publicized roadmaps and more about the entire team and all interested parties actively communicating with everyone in the community. It's actually a lot of fun and pretty encour…

See http://www.zotero.org/support/requesting_styles and post the changes in the new edition. The style will certainly be updated, but we'll need your help identifying what's new.

poirmw: Your issue is presumably not related, since it deals with different parts of the Zotero machinery. I have next to no experience with troubleshooting the word processor integration plugins, so I can't really help you very much. Hopefully Simo…

It is definitely possible that there are occasional items that either are being exported incorrectly by EBSCO and ProQuest, or imported incorrectly by Zotero. But without seeing the data that Zotero is being fed, I can't really figure out what is ha…

I'm working on this again.

Stan: The downloading of journals as webpages is probably what's happening in your case. Are you sure that the items were originally saved as journal items? Many sites for which we don't have dedicated translators will still show a save icon, and if…

I don't think that there is a fixed maximum. First of all, is Standalone just working very slowly and seemingly freezing, or does it close unexpectedly? If possible, provide debug output and an error report for the failed attempt to add so many att…

This is presumably a rough area that has been overlooked -- these are file types that would ordinarily open in a tab in Firefox, but the standalone doesn't have a way to do that. This is probably a very easy fix on the developers' side. Thanks for p…

There are plans to provide on-demand downloading of files, but I don't know how soon that will be.
-
In light of the current sync delays, you should try again after this weekend-- delays of several hours are happening not rarely, but the server infrastructure is changing this weekend, with the explicit goal of cutting those to something manageable …

If you're using Wordpress, you can just embed it using any of the hundreds of RSS/Atom feed plugins/widgets that are available.

Not sure what's happening -- does the link http://www.worldcat.org/search?q=isbn:9780756632236&=Search&qt=results_page work for you? Does WorldCat work for you in general?
-
You're not the only one-- this has been extensively discussed in the "simple marking for items" thread, where the core devs agreed that something like color-coding should happen. This, however, appears to be a low priority. In the meantime, I think …
-
Thanks for noticing this. It's now fixed in the trunk (https://www.zotero.org/trac/changeset/7784), and it should go out to users in the next Zotero release.

And those don't work for you in 2.1b4? Can you provide debug output and an error report for an attempt to save them? They work for me in the multilingual branch, which is about the same as 2.1b4, at least as far as translators are concerned.
-
I'm was testing using the multilingual testing branch, but the version should correspond to 2.1b4.

What identifiers are actually causing issues? Can you provide examples?
-
Can you provide a specific URL for a page that should show an icon?
