This might be related: I tried to bind zotero://select links to fzf on Windows, which causes Zotero to freeze. When I directly try to bind the start zotero://select link to fzf, Zotero starts up if not already running, but does not jump to the ite…

Thank you, the reason I was asking about the merge is because I noticed in the past that some items had identical attachments after merging. That was a while ago, great that this has been improved.

release, on the right: https://github.com/frangoud/ZoteroDuplicatesMerger/releases/tag/v1.1.5 Is there any tool that checks for duplicate attachments by checksum?

Very nice, works great. Thank you!!! I added this to the 'postscript' under 'export'. if (Translator.BetterBibLaTeX) { tex.add({ name: 'zoteroselect', value: zotero.uri.replace(/http:\/\/zotero.org\/users\/\d+\/items\/(\w+)/, 'zotero://select/…

Zotero has no problems with pdf documents. If you already have a entry in Zotero, you can attach a pdf using the paperclip icon, or you can drag and drop your pdf onto the item. If you have a pdf, but no corresponding item in Zotero, you can drag …

Storage would work, but there are some concerns from our IT department about using one more cloud storage provider. It will be faster for me to just code it myself than to deal with them. I will give it a try and if it works I will post again. Thank…

Thank you very much for the thoughtful response, it looks as if it is not as easy as I thought, but it might still work. What I really want to achieve is this: Computer A (laptop) holds my current work. Computer B (desktop) holds my larger personal…

Exactly: I would still use Data Syncing for Zotero ("Sync Automatically" and "Sync full-text content"), but I would disable File Syncing. Then I would keep the files in My Library in the regular "storage" folder, but have all group libraries in the…

I have a 100MB database with 2000 items, no issues. One thing to watch out for is that the database file is locked and some backup programs can't copy it while Zotero is running. There is a Zotero backup database that gets copied, but the main dat…
