I wrote a post about different ways to synchronize files between Zotero and ZotPad http://www.zotpad.com/node/14 Any comments would be welcome.

You should take a look at the server read API. That can be used to export items and their tags. http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/server_api/read_api

This cannot be done without making a new copy of the PDF for each item. I would recommend to split such books into several PDFs that each contain a single chapter.

Two options: 1) You can just copy the Firefox profile from your main computer on an USB stick and copy it to the typewriter OR 2) Download Zotero installer on the USB stick and then open it from the USB stick using Firefox on the typewriter. Export …

It is difficult to understand what you want to have. You need to explain your request in more detail (e.g. with an example) and then explain where the current implementation fails short.

I just uploaded a new version to Mozilla extensions directory. Changes include: -compatibility with Zotero 3 and Standalone -QuickLook from citations in Word, Mac only. (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVe4fKY_Fe4)

philip-iii: WebDAV support will be added in the next feature release. netbuoy: iPhone will be supported in the next feature release. It takes a bit more coding to support two form factors, so I decided to go with one first to make a faster release.

I do not know anything about Koha, but Zotero supports a wide range of export formats that you can use to get the data from Zotero to other software. You could set up a public group library and access that through the Zoter website. However, for a …

The current version supports collections, but not tags. See the video here for how it is supposed to work http://sblsrv.org.aalto.fi/zotpad/ If you cannot see the collections, please email zotpad@gmail.com and I can troubleshoot this.

How about just importing it as a webpage with the title that Google Scholar shows and then adding a note explaining that it could not be properly imported?

Zotero currently does this. Just make sure that the you have "Automatically attach associated PDFs and other files when saving items". Also, you should use the small icons in the address bar to import items.

Have you set up syncing in Zotero and synced the firefox plugin? http://www.zotero.org/support/sync The member type should not make a difference.

I see that the ability to assign tags into categories. The primary reason for me to not use tags at all is that they cannot be organized efficiently. A large group library that we use has hundreds of different tags. Since the tags take several scree…

Have you synced Zotero after adding these items manually?

What makes this difficult to implement is that changing the data model to allow hierarchical structure for tags would require changes to Zotero, Zotero server, Zotero server API, Zotero website, and potentially other software using the API. These ch…

I think that you have misunderstood how collections work. One item can belong to multiple collections, so what you describe should be possible with collections already.

No donations at this point, but at least for now I put the price of ZotPad at 4.99 euro. This should cover the costs of development and some future ideas that I have in mind. I started developing ZotPad as aun universal App, but eventually compil…

In my opinion, it is. I have been using it for months without problems.

There have been significant improvements in Firefox since 3.6 and also the Zotero 3 is an improvement over Zotero 2.1 I would recommend at least upgrading the browser. Alternatively, you can use the standalone. For me it is noticeably faster than …

Just a quick update. I started submitting the App for review to Apple. I will test the App a bit over the weekend and then finalize the App store submission before the start of next week.
