@adamsmith, any idea what to change? Thanks! :-)
-
Yes. This is the code I am using:
-
Hm, above code for apa from bwiernik does what I want. It just does not work for Oxford Press HUMSOC when i copy paste the bibliography sort code or play around with it trying different things. The edited apa style does what I want: 1) In-text: th…

Can this be done for Oxford Press HUMSOC as well? [recap: First in-text citation of one of three Brodeur et al (2024) papers should show (2024a) and the reference section should be sorted alphabetically by author.] I tried to copy paste the bib sor…

Hm, no. It starts with "d" in the text and the bibliography is wild: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5581225/v27argjgvvabdt4ikzfh.png I cannot find the AER style - just "Latin American Economic Review", but that one also does no…

Thanks so much. The AER paper that bwiernik linked does exactly what I want (sorry maybe I was not clear before): Gordon "a" comes first in the text (before b and c) and in the bibliography too, but all other references are sorted alphabetically, Gol…

-
Sweet! Thanks a lot. For some reason, the modified style did not show up in the Zotero preferences, but moving the file from the folder (where I had saved it) to the desktop and then double-clicking it, worked!
-
On my Zotero desktop app, I opened the Style Editor, made the above mentioned changes, and saved it to the Zotero folder with all the other styles. Then, I went to preferences-->cite and clicked the "+" symbol, selected the previously saved .csl …

You're right! What would I have to change in the code if I wanted (Smith et al., 2023a) and (Smith et al., 2023b) for the two papers with the same first author but different co-authors? a: Smith, Miller, Carpenter, 2023 b: Smith, Brewer. Fisher, 20…

I see. Thanks so much!!
-
Ok thanks. but how do I change that style in word? I cannot find it. Do I have to change the xsl files stored on my macbook?
-
Nope. I just added it. Thanks a lot!!!
-
Worked well!! Thanks again. Now, how can I change that instead of Brodeur et al. 2022a; Brodeur et al. 2022b; Brodeur et al. 2022c; Brodeur et al. 2020 it shows: Brodeur et al. 2022a; 2022b; 2022c; 2020 Thanks!

Great, thanks!
