ok, sorted it out by trial and error. While most styles didn't work, converting to IEEE style and back to Chicago worked.

Ah, get it now, just switched to another Harvard style and it does it properly. Thanks.

Unless you know of a particular flavour of Harvard style that accepts this info into its bibliography?

Generally use Harvard. The editor for this paper wants URL and accessed date for the youtube videos in the bibliography. I don't know how to get Zotero to do this, even though it has imported the information, it won't pass it over in the bib.

ok, I got there, if anyone else has this problem I eventually just opened the contents of the latest .xpi file in notepad, then saved to .js and placed that file into the translators folder in the Users directory of Zotero.

thanks, do you have a step-by-step for both those operations?

all I'm trying to do is be able to cite/ reference in Scrivener (LibreOffice was only installed as it was part of the instructions to add in the ODF scan add-on). That's all. Scrivener functionality only.

Following manual setup from: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_toolbar_doesn_t_appear [Is this the right page?] your instructions: 3. In the Cite pane of Zotero preferences, open the “Word Processors” tab. …
