Following manual setup from:
https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_toolbar_doesn_t_appear
[Is this the right page?]
your instructions:
3. In the Cite pane of Zotero preferences, open the “Word Processors” tab.
4. Click “Reinstall LibreOffice/Microsoft Word Add-in” and then restart your word processor.
[DONE]
still, ERROR- - "Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure that LibreOffice is closed, and then restart Zotero".
[OfficeLibre was not open, so I closed the browser in case the browser extension was intefering]
then tried manual installation by double-clicking the file in its location on the hard drive via explorer
[C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\extensions\zoteroOpenOfficeIntegration@zotero.org\install]
> so OfficeLibre opens BUT
LibreOffice says >ERROR - - Could not create Java implementation loader.
The Extension Manager for LibreOffice says> "ERROR: The status of this extension is unknown"
Scannable Cite is part of the ODF Scan add-on. It is not part of regular Zotero. The manual install instructions are e.g. here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/280155/#Comment_280155
The LibreOffice add-on _is_ part of Zotero. Troubleshooting for that would be entirely separate and you'd want to start here: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#could_not_create_java_implementation_loader
That's all. Scrivener functionality only.
Make sure that Java is installed and enabled in LibreOffice. Choose Tools → Options → LibreOffice → Java (or Advanced). Ensure that “Use a Java runtime environment” is checked, and that a JRE appears in the list below. (It may take a few seconds to load.)
[its checked, but a JRE is not listed, just blank ], any suggestions, thanks
