I've just stumbled upon another rather useless note; when adding the ISBN 9781839762154 via the magic wand, the entry will have a note with the content "Corona and climate -- Chronic emergency -- War Communism" and nothing more. If necessary at all,…

I still see this problem, for example when attempting to save from: https://www-degruyter-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/document/doi/10.1515/9783839445167-007/html

I still have this problem in 7.0.9-beta.3, for example with a snapshot of this page: https://verfassungsblog.de/der-anschein-der-neutralitaet-als-schuetzenswertes-verfassungsgut/
-
Edit: Seems to have been a fluke or a problem with my laptop, sorry.
-
Ah, I figured it out, sorry, but my edit was apparently too late: I can do this, but can then only navigate visible annotations. With only one visible annotation, the arrow keys appear to do nothing.
-
I see - I have to admit I prefer the old behaviour; when switching into a tab with an annotation selected it's not possibly to visually discern whether it was selected from the reader or annotation pane and to thus decide which key to use. Selecti…

Thank you!

Works perfectly again, thank you!
-
Thanks! I think an "element zapper" would be a very useful feature.
-
Ah, I had just looked at the bibtex export where it seems to be correct.
-
A relatively small skew is already enough for the problem to occur: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5025031/awtoylhycq575boi37ca.png Other PDF viewers like Okular handle this more gracefully and let me copy the normal OCRed text.…

I don't have experience with immutable distros, but I assume the /home-folder is still mutable - so shouldn't it also be possible to just unpack the official tarball into your home-folder and run Zotero from there?
-
Thank you!
-
I checked again and indeed it doesn't occur in all PDF files, but in this one I can reproduce it somewhat reliably when opening it from the library after startup. I'll try and see whether there is a pattern to it. When typing "schools" the search st…

As a workaround: I think it's copy-pastable if no annotation is selected.
-
If it is just about the files (not the metadata), opening https://www.zotero.org/settings/storage and clicking "purge storage" should do the trick.
-
I see the same behaviour in Kubuntu 24.04. An option to use the system native title bar like in Firefox would be great.
-
> When dragging a file from the filesystem or creating a parent item, Zotero now sets the title of the first attachment of a given type to “PDF”, “EPUB”, etc., instead of setting the title based on the filename. So in your case "The Art of Quest…
-
That's by design: https://www.zotero.org/support/file_renaming#attachment_title_vs_filename You can change the attachment title in the righthand pane.
-
Wow, that was fast! Thank you, I'm looking forward to it.

Thank you!

@AbeJellinek, I hope you forgive me for tagging you, but I saw that you made some changes to the translator in Github, which I thought might be connected (without the slightest cue about how translators work, to be honest).
-
The behaviour in the PDF reader is a bit more curious on closer inspection; what seems to happen is: 1. Opening the search pop-up and typing the search term -> Search term is highlighted in the PDF, I can navigate the occurences. 2. Closing the …

I'm definitely not an expert, but if you copy and paste your current note template or your most recent attempt at achieving what you want here, maybe someone could take a look.
-
I still see this in 7.0.1-beta.3.
-
The problem doesn't seem to affect only SEP entries (even though that's where I see it most often). I've also noticed unwanted newlines in a snapshot of this page http://www.hermann-giesecke.de/werke9.htm#69. https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/ima…

I'm not sure I understand correctly what you mean, but note templates might be what you're looking for: https://www.zotero.org/support/note_templates
-
I see the same problem in this file: https://doi.org/10.14315/9783641248604 As this file also has numbered lines, maybe this is part of the problem?

Thank you!

If it's just about seeing a few sentences about the item, a workaround could also consist of putting the information into the abstract field (of the parent item). This would allow for the same workflow of using the arrow keys to switch between items…
