Thanks for the answers. It isn't realistic for me to store >8000 pdf files which would be associated with > 8000 entries onto the Zotero File Storage server. I've already purchased additional space on GoogleDrive for the files, so that's wher…

I have a question similar to that from earthsea3. My central Zotero library contains more than 8000 entries and I want to share the _entire_ library with a limited number of collaborators........ (1) If I were to put all of them into a group, what h…

One workaround is to copy the text of interest into "googledoc" and edit the color accordingly. The color transfers over to the Zotero note, unlike from Libre Office, Word or pdf. I just realized this after reading the thread to this forum. As wel…

I'm using the most recent version of Zotero and Libre Office 7.3.7.2 on a PowerBook. There are multiple issues with editing tables, importing data from LO into a Zotero table or formatting the Zotero-table: 1. There is no means of controlling the t…

OK, thanks. That would help a lot. While reading longer technical articles, it can save a lot of time to specify the page, column and line number with tags in the notes. Another item on the wish-list (wink, wink) is restoring the use of colored fon…

Hello, I have an "Error loading items list" fault. This is on the Mac version on my hard drive. (report #1741241134) It occurs after I create and store two different searches (let's call them search #1 and search #2). I then conduct a third search …

Hi, Maybe there's a misunderstanding? In the Web Library, my issue is adding tags to specific notes, and not the entire library entry. In the Desktop Library, those tags are added through the “tags” field at the bottom of the particular note. Af…

V 7.3.7.2 (Macintosh). Even if you leave a "blank" space after the point where the reference is inserted, it will work. But then if you afterwards _remove_ the blank space, it will produce the error which I mentioned.
-
Thanks, that makes sense. You guys obviously are dealing with a lot of different pleas from users and intended improvements. Can you estimate where this stands on your "to do" list?
-
Aha, thanks.

Roughly 75% down the article which Pedrom recommended is a description of how DDG differs from other browsers. Maybe that interferes with Zotero? That being said, the folks who wrote DDG state that it's a beta version. DDG streams on Twitter.
-
Pedrom described exactly what I'm looking for. When landing on platforms for academic articles, the pluggins for either FF or Safari allow directly downloading the citation data. There doesn't seem to be any way to do this for DDG. The same holds fo…

erase

Neither can I erase the library to start over again. The same old nonsense message comes back, and Zotero just keeps up with its numerical nonsense. It was finally necessary to do a force quit it stop it.
-
This is awful. It won't even let me "unlink" the citations so that I can start all over again. 3333 3 3 33 3333333333 3 3 33 33333333333333 I've wasted my morning.

I tried the following, below. Initially it worked. But then the same old crap returned. a. "ReferenceMarks" was already correctly chosen. So I then went to the 'debugging' site. b. In a blank document, "Track changes" was already turned on. I crea…

Thanks. Turning on "Auto Proxy Discovery" the situation appears to have resolved the issue. I had also been trying to use Safari to circumvent the issue, but was not able to do so. But with Firefox is sufficient.

Does Zotero distinguish between 'tags' which are in the "parent" and the "children" entries? This may be at the heart of the problem. I use tags in the child-notes much more than in the full entry
-
To be safe, I had already removed any graphics which have been directly pasted into the child-notes. That is, there are none in the entries which pertain to the search. All of those graphics have now been annexed by using the paperclip icon at the t…

I've just opened a new library, obvious name, uploaded the three files so you could find it w/o a hassle.
-
Thanks for your rapid response. Your advice was logical, but didn't work in my case. If you would like to see the sequential three filters which I tried, then I can send them to you via a google drive account.

My intention was to identify all notes which contained the adjective “transparent” but yet had not yet been tagged as “transparent”. I started looking through the notes to find those notes. So I carried out a simple search. But Zotero was labeling n…

The search which I just did was for the character stream "ZB". On the local Zotero, it gave six hits, of which all were bogus. Five were for children with graphics. #6 had a strange imbedded link which contained "ZB". I erased it and used the chain…

One of the entries for which a hit is locally returned but not on the Internet would be the parent starting with e.g. “44th European Conference”. Those appear to be real/correct hits. The URL of the online version of this hit is: https://www.zotero.…

Hi, this explanation is exhaustive-exhaustive: The library which is named "Temp Video" has 38 entries. For the online version of “Temp Video”: Searching for “qua”gives hits in five different entries. There is no way to distinguish "dark" a…

Hi, Thanks for your quick response. Here are my imbedded answers: BUT: there are no actual hits there, also within the key words. It will find "real hits", but those are in the minority. -I'm not sure what you mean by that. You're saying it finds …

Hi I have a partially related issue, and was automatically directed to this discussion. I can't control the font size which Zotero uses with the bibliography. I don't know anything about the code which is used to write the individual styles. But I…
-
Thanks. This has now worked as intended...... .....however the original reason for my checking the database integrity unfortunately remains. I will look through your discussions for "graphics", "notes" and "searches"
-
I also had this issue, and the explanation took care of it. Thanks.

Thanks, guys but using the native endnote function within LO had already occurred to me. By directly inserting "live" notes from Zotero directly into a LO document, the underlying intention is to edit the note in Zotero and have the imported note …
