Aha, thank you. This helps.

I experienced the same problem after trying to save just one PDF article from PsycNet to Zotero. Instead of saving the article, Zotero uses the embedded metadata and generates a correct journal article entry but with a wrong format in the date field.

Thanks for the fast answer. I know that I can see the items locally after sync. So I assume, that there is no way to see more than 25 items online.

Same problem with me. I read another thread to this subject with people also reporting problems with image (re)loading.

Oh thanks, that is the solution! Sorry for my confusion. Whenever I called https://www.zotero.org/petzi I saw my petzi account. But when I tried from this page to see the storage setting I saw the other account as I was logged in with the other ac…

Thanks for the suggestion to look deeper into the issue: The problem was on my side: I had (additionally) still an old BibTex-Translator installed which caused the error messages. Thanks for your help!

BibTex and other export formats are no problem.

When I tried it the first time, I tried to export just one item. I tried it again with a different item, just to be sure, there was no offending code in the test item. Maybe there is something wrong with my installation? There is no biblatex transl…

I tried to export data with the biblatex translator but I always get an error message: "Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten bei dem Versuch, die ausgewählte Datei zu exportieren" (An error happened when you tried to export the selected file, my translation).…

Good question and you are right Not "a typical workflow". I'm preparing a list of my publications for my new WordPress Website using ZotPress. A starting point you can see here: http://peter.baumgartner.name/schriften/publikationen-zotpress/ But Zo…

Your are completely right! Whenever I deleted the collection Zotero automatically jumped to the next collection (the colletion underneath but where I had similar items exept the new imported ones). Sorry for consuming your time. Mea culpa!

I noticed the same problem. Is there a workaround/solution available?
-
@fede: the booktitle field is exported as journal field, this generate problems while compiling bibtex. I experienced the same problem: with incollections the field bookSection is exported as journal title and not as booktitle. Using the latest vers…

@Rintze, Thanks for the tips. I'm using a Mac so I had to figure out what client is there for me available. It turned out that the demo version of Oxygen comes with svn client. @all: After fiddling around I managed to check in my style file in the…

I checked the style guides of Harvard 1 ...and Chicago ... but both styles don't use a colon after the "In" before the name of the editors. Thats right for the English version, but for the German version one would need the colon. In the meanwhile …

Another question concerning the problem with de-DE/de-AT confusion: Wouldn't it be feasible to take the translated de-DE version for de-AT as well? There are only very minor differences, as far as I know just one word (The month January is in Aust…

@Dan: Thanks for the hint with the development XPI . I installed it (1.0.7r3270), reset the translators and tested with my library. The export to bibtex works much better now! But now testing in a more systematic way I noticed some other inconsisten…

Thanks for URLs! They work both for me, with one minor issue: If I select all options in chrome://zotero/content/tools/cslpreview.xul I get a warning of an unresponsive script: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding.…

This is an add-on to my previous posting: I looked into the BibTex specification and it says: @incollection: required fields: author, title, booktitle, publisher, year optional fields: editor, volume or number, series, type, chapter, pages, addre…

I have the same problem: The export from Zotero to BibTeX format does not work for @incollection types correctly. I inspected the resulting output and noticed that Z converts the booktitle into journal and does not export the editors at all. See t…

Thanks. I understand that you will remove it from the links generated from external sources, because links of files on the hard disk work perfectly. And it is a very handy way to change their names via Zotero, BTW: I noticed that Zotero is able to…

Why not using the browser window itself for the (formated) preview? Like the report. Several records could be easily previewed.

Intel Mac OS X 10.4.11, Zotero 1.0.7, FF 3.0

Let's assume I go to the page http://simile.mit.edu/wiki/Exhibit and store a link of this page. This link has the title "Exhibit - SIMILE". I would like to shorten this title to "Exhibit" but the error occurs.

Jesus, you are an expert! Maybe I should learn CSL as well? How long did it you take? Are you a programmer or computer scientist? The last few days I spent my time with converting my data from EndNote to Zotero. After three days hard work I finally…

After three days of sometime desperate trials I finally found a solution! Read my report.

I followed your description for the fix and it worked. Thanks!

ajasja, I'm not a developer, just another user. But I'm pretty sure that there are norms and rules to follow. If you are using the Chicago Style then it is the norm to use "et al.". I'm not sure if your picture shows an accepted citation norm. Bu…

philosopherdog, I noticed the same problem, but thought it was related to my German localization. I'm planning to transfer my huge Endnote Library to Zotero. I started with a test of 150 records. It is very cumbersome to change all these collaborato…

I'm not sure if this makes sense. I think the standard requires to mention "et al" if the publication has more than 3 authors. This is intended as a hint that there are more authors than just (the first) one. Some kind of democratization in the acad…
