I am still wishing for this feature.

I figured it out! It's only when a PDF is being displayed in the center area, and I click the Notes icon, that what I was looking for appears (notes associated with the file at the top, list of all notes at the bottom.) :)

Ah - got it. Thank you. Given that, not super high on *my* list :)

I restarted in Troubleshooting mode, and noticed that one of my tabs (with an Author) showed with author name. So I then clicked on some of the other tabs. Each one I click on, changes from title to creator name. I restarted NOT in troubleshooting …

Wonderful! Great to know that. Thank you @dstillman.

The weird thing is, I know I *once* saw the list of "all" since upgrading. However, I cannot seem to find my way back to that view. I am thinking maybe I need to have a particular type of item selected? I have tried selecting different items (parent…

Related to this, it would be great to be able to manually ADD bookmarks to a PDF, as you can in Acrobat. If the author did not use styles for heading formats, so everything is essentially plain text, there's much less to help programs auto-extract. …

Thank you all so much for the work you've put into this. V 7 is awesome! So appreciative.

NEVERMIND - I found it. Rather than export, I need to start in word and add the Note. Doh! I'll leave my post here in case someone else has a similar question.

Jodi - are you by chance using multiple Google Chrome profiles? I encountered something like this recently under Windows 11, when I started using different profiles. It's been a few weeks, so I don't remember the specifics clearly, but I do know I e…

Thanks, Adam, for setting expectations around this :) Yes - at the moment I'm converting to PDF.

Interesting thread to find. I have a lot of info in OneNote from some years back, then moved my workflow to EverNote, now finding that Notes in Zotero are taking a front seat (especially with BetterNotes add-on.) But I now want to integrate some o…

Thank you @dstillman! I had totally missed that :) And it does correct the issue that I opened this discussion with- the citations do show editor names, not titles. Happy dance :) --L

So... I am a little puzzled about this bit in your message: "When you cite that note using the word processor, though, all citations are picked up by the word processor add-on and converted into the citation style of that document, whether that's A…

Windows 11 (but had this occur under Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago, as well)

I've tried it a couple of ways. 1) drag from list to note 2) use citation button at top of note. In the citation bar, the citation looks correct, but then when I actually insert it into the note, I see the title rather than the names.

Echoing that! Will be very happy to have Android app :) Looking forward. (Meantime VERY happy with PC desktop version.)

Love the saved search for this, @danstillman. Thanks for that!

Thanks for that, Martynas_b!

Thanks, Adam, for the quick reply. Happy to know about the tab/shift+tab for indents! Very helpful. I don't know Markdown (yet), but will experiment, for headings. For me, alignment is far less crucial. I understand about the move to new editors. …

Thank you! :)

Glad to hear this is planned. It would be helpful to me as well. Perhaps some way to pick what is shown on the tab. Could be a preferences thing.

Thank you! Great to know they are coming soon! :)

Ok. That is on *my* wishlist :) But very helpful to be able to at least be reading/annotating and see the library list. How about "redocking" it to main window? Is there a way to do that, or need to "show in library" & then re-open?
-
thanks for that, @dstillman !! What I am seeing, 2nd window does not have meta info or notes showing on the right. Am I missing some way to open that? Looks like I can add annotations & notes for about them, but not see other child notes for PD…

I'd like mindmapping, too! Top of my list for Zotero additions.
