Hi Dan. I left the computer on all night with Firefox open and it's still spinning this morning. A person I work with does not have entries that were made 1/19/2011. If I hover over the spinning arrow the message is "Uploading data to sync server". …

Hi. It's still syncing. I didn't try a manual reset. I forgot to mention a symptom. FireFox is freezing occasionally. The sync wheel stops part way around (not at the top) and the Windows 7 equivalent to the hourglass appears. Everything in Firefox …

Hi Dan. I restarted FF and it's still spinning. Going to lunch, hope it's done when I get back. A couple of my entries did show up on others' computers and that's the main thing. Thanks, Ron

The workaround doesn't work for us because we can't bring up the clipboard viewer. It requires that a clipbook service be running and that requires that other, unspecified services also be running. It would be great if we could get Zotero work…

In the references the publisher should show up as the publisher. But in the GUI it looks like there is no creator. It seems like the GUI should show the author as creator if there is an author, but should show the publisher if there isn't.

It resolved itself. Thanks for the response!

Sorry. I ran update on the add-ons, it updated Zotero and it works fine now. Sorry, Ron

Hi Adam. I disabled all non-Zotero extensions. Here's a url where it isn't working for me: http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%22Cost-effectiveness+analysis+of+spinal+cord+stimulation+in+treatment+of+failed+back+surgery+syndrome%22&hl=en&a…

Hi. The translator for Google Scholar has stopped working. The folder icon appears, but when you click it the list of articles does not appear. Instead the red box appears with the message "Could not save item. An error occurred while saving this it…

ajlyon, it's working fine for me. Please push it out to our users. THANKS FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSE!

The import of the PubMed search finished. Thanks for the quick work on the PubMed fix!

The folder icon has reappeared, the article icon works, a single item from the folder works, and I'm trying an import of a 200 item search right now. I've never brought in such a large search result set before and it's taking a surprisingly long tim…

A couple days ago I noticed the icon stopped working for an individual article. However, the folder icon for a list of articles still worked. Today the folder icon doesn't even display. Ovid continues to work.

I heartily agree. I think, however, there should be multiple algorithms that the user can choose to include or omit depending on their circumstance. For instance, for the sources from which we get our references the journal name may be the full name…

I don't think item duplication needs to involve author disambiguation. Users have needed this feature for years. If this could be implemented with 99% sensitivity and 90% selectivity (i.e. miss 1% of dups and produce erroneous dup messages 10% of th…

We are also having the problem when users import references from other reference managers.
-
This is becoming a real headache for us. We would appreciate a duplicate prevention facility, even if were not perfect. One could let the user determine what to compare. I'd be happy with the last names of the authors, year, volume and page number. …

For those of us who have database servers on our network, is there a way to use one instance of MS SQL Server as the database instead of an instance of SQLLite on each computer?

There was one more thing we found, although it didn't affect PharmacoEconomics since we manually stripped the periods from the abbreviations. That was that the style ended the journal section of the reference with a period even if the abbreviation h…

Syncing this afternoon is taking a very long time. It's been going 45l minutes now. Windows XP.

Please consider the changes to the Pharmacoeconomics style complete. The person working with this is satisfied, within the possibilities of current style features. Is there a way to obtain the code that formats references so we could add the f…

What's the ETA of the next version of CSL? I hope the feature in CSL will be to specify in the style whether abbreviations should have periods regardless of how they are stored in the user's database. That is, that it have the ability to add p…

Yep, it's installed. Saving in "sentence case" is a good solution. A co-worker will be adding to this discussion. She's found a few additional issues, including journal abbreviations that have been downloaded from PubMed with periods, but Phar…

When I downloaded, it opened a new pane in FF. I was selecting the text from that pane and dragging it into another new pane. I needed to save it as a file and drag the file from explorer to FF. Pharmacoeconomics requires lower case in article …

mronkko, our situation is much like yours. We have 11 researchers that may share references. We created a new account for the group and purchased space. For each subject area we are creating a collection and then a subcollection for each paper. …

adamsmith, How do I know it's been installed? When I drag and drop nothing seems to happen. When I choose PharmacoEconomics in a document, the style doesn't seem to have changed. Thanks!

It works! Dan, Martin and Rintze, thanks for your help!

I found the file "scrapers.sql" that has SQL code to insert what appears to be the Ovid translator into a database. I could change the code as above if I knew how to run the SQL on the database.

I searched and could not find ovid.js. I'm using Windows XP SP3. Anybody know where it is?

I'm using Zotero 1.0.10 and during Sept. through Nov. 2009 the Ovid translator worked. It no longer works. The "Save to Zotero" icon has disappeared. Here's a url: http://ovidsp.tx.ovid.com.proxy.medlib.iupui.edu/sp-2.3/ovidweb.cgi?&S=JE…
