Is there a way to do this? Specifically to have notes that are opened in tabs similar to PDFs to reopen when Zotero is launched?

So far, so good on 5.0.122 for Chrome. Will be doing more thorough testing today.

@dstillman I've been testing the beta connector in Firefox for most of the day and haven't run into any of the reported issues so far - most importantly, for me, I haven't had the issue I'm having in Chrome where sections of the document become uns…

@dstillman the latest version of the Firefox plugin isn't really working at all for me. Initially, it would bring up the add citation dialogue okay but would get stuck actually inserting the citation like this: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/im…

Yep all good now. Thanks so much!

Ah, great - thanks!

I too was wondering why it didn't work - unfortunately, I'm also using Linux so the Alt key doesn't work for selecting text and just moves the window instead :(
-
@adamsmith oh okay, thanks. Are you able to give me an indication of what I'll need to change in CSL to insert director name into citation and bibliography? Do I just need to include an if element and call the name variable or something?

Actually the style I first mentioned is my own one but it is based on the one you linked so same problem. I'm thinking something must have changed with the mappings in zotero 7?

You could try using templates in Better Notes plugin: https://github.com/windingwind/zotero-better-notes#readme

Actually, it works for Books but not for journal articles

What I've noticed when using Zotero connector in Google Docs is that the first time it's used in a session, it will give that toast message (Zotero is updating your document ... please wait) and it will seem like it's just doing nothing forever. But…

@dstillman At the moment, if you want to create a note based on a specific tag/s in a pdf you have to filter by that/those tag/s in the pdf reader sidebar and then manually drag them across to the note. Is it possible to modify the behaviour of th…

@dstillman will it be possible to confine a tag search to just annotations rather than top-level items? It would be great if it was possible to tag annotations, then search for all annotations with that tag and export them to a new note.

Hi, I'm really liking the new PDF reader. One thing that would help my workflow: I sometimes highlight an extract of text from a PDF and drag it into OneNote - would it be possible to have a citation be added when dragging highlighted text into an …

I'm on Windows 10 and have my OS region set to Australia - my dates are formatted as MM/DD/YY in Zotero, though, which is wrong - how can I change this? Zotero is set to Automatic language (English).
-
@adamsmith actually, i'm an idiot. I just checked and it hadn't been saved in lastname, firstname format. sorry!
-
In the latest beta, Zotero doesn't appear to be respecting name formats in citations or bibliography. I have a modified Harvard CSL and I am getting full names in citations eg (Christian Fuchs & Daniel Trottier 2017) and first names first instea…

@damnation ah, thanks for that! @bwiernik thanks for the link :) I've managed to clean it up by grouping it. My CSL style is probably a bit of a hodge-podge at the moment as I'm adjusting it to my requirements as issues come up with references I'm …
