Zotero 7 - Director name not listed in citation

Hi there

I'm using this citation style: http://www.zotero.org/styles/griffith-university-harvard with Zotero 7. When citing a film, the citation lists the film name rather than the director. The bibliography doesn't list the director at all. Isn't the director mapped to author in Zotero? I'm sure it used to render properly in Zotero 6. Any ideas on how to get the director name to show up in the citation and bibliography?
  • This style doesn't exist. Do you mean https://www.zotero.org/styles/griffith-college-harvard ? And I can reproduce with this style. For example,, trying to cite https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8620154/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_1

Zotero 7 beta shows these infos:

    Title: Das Vorspiel
    Director: Weisse, Ina

    In-text citation: (Das Vorspiel, 2019)

Reference: Das Vorspiel (2019) [Drama, Music] Directed by Das Vorspiel. Idéale Audience, Lupa Film, Port Au Prince Film & Kultur Produktion.

  • Actually the style I first mentioned is my own one but it is based on the one you linked so same problem. I'm thinking something must have changed with the mappings in zotero 7?
  • Yes, director is no longer mapped to author but is now it's on names variable (I believe that predates Z7, but it's a relatively recent change).

@adamsmith oh okay, thanks. Are you able to give me an indication of what I'll need to change in CSL to insert director name into citation and bibliography? Do I just need to include an if element and call the name variable or something?
