I used Fields in Word and am using Zotero 2.0rc5 with MacWord Integration 3.0a8 (although I also had this problem before the most recent updates). Any idea how I could ask Dan or Simon to take a look? Thanks so much for your help!

I just tried converting to Chicago author-data and APA author date, but all of the original footnotes are still footnotes.

I mislabeled it in my original post -- it's "Harvard Reference format 1 (Author-Date)". I think it's a standard format.

I inserted the Chicago Style citations using Zotero -- that's why I was surprised that it didn't automatically convert.
