You should always update any software, not only for bug fixes, but for security issues also. And in this case, Zotero has nothing to do with that. It's about the citation style you're using.

First of all, which of the several hundred "Harvard" styles are you using? Can you please provide one or a few citations of what you are currently seeing and what your expected output is? What item type are these?

I just tested the American Chemical Society style and this works: (2) CSL search by example. Citation Style Editor. http://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/ (accessed 2012-12-15). Which item type are you using?

If you enter "de" into the language field Zotero will know it's NOT an english item and therefore suppress Title Casing.
