That's set by the citation style/the language you choose the citation style to use under Document Preferences. It's a difference between British and American English. Which style are you using?
-
No, completely different system and can't be imported. You'd need to create your own citatuin style or find another style that is close. https://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/

"Harvard" just means "Author Date" styles. Nothing else. There is a book chapter in the guidelines though that you can use as an example to adapt the Mares one. Can you also link to a freely available paper and the ISSNs of the style? That way we …

Thanks for following the guidelines. You're one out of 20 that gets it right. ha I've logged your request and will look at it at some stage: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zc3Sl4JU7Ltu0Q55-OB0QYCJbYiguVXwpc_BzBLLZcA/edit#gid=128551622

Hallo Nicole, Ich hatte dir nachmittags per PM auf deine Nachricht geantwortet. ;)

We can make the style in a dependent style that just points to the government style you pointed out.
-
Your creator-year-short macro currently has a delimiter on the group level set to a space. That's what you need to change.
-
Didn't look at your code, but from what I remember you need to give a text value by letter, not number. Then it sorts correctly.

A new independent style for this journal was just released. It should be available within an hour and it'll have today's date. https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:survey-of-ophthalmology

I think your only two options are: 1. Making his citations into Zotero own citations. You can use anystyle.io or something else to make them importable. Then you'll have to replace all of his citations, but can then generate an integrated bibliogra…

Your citations are actually still active as per this? https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/existing_citations_not_detected

I tested the above scenario and for a subsequent book citation it ONLY provided the author name. Hence my suggested fix. But I'll leave it to you.
-
You'd need to edit the style. If you look at the else-if for "subsequent" citations starting in 578 you can see that the macro with the name "title-short" is called only if citations need to be disambiguated. Therefore, go to line 599-601 and chan…

(Internal: would it make sense for us to provide a vancouver-alphabetical.csl or just make a custom style for this journal?)

Please add the requested information as outlined here: - The exact(!) examples (Pedersen&Cambell, and Mares) - ISSNS - Link to a freely-available paper - Link to guidelines https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/REQUESTIN…

Thank you. Our SoO style is currently just a dependent style of AMA. This just looks like normal Vancouver, as mentioned in their guidelines, and we have that available here: http://www.zotero.org/styles/vancouver I'll submit a Pull Request to up…

If you use endnotes, make sure to make them into footnotes first, before switching to MLA.

New AIP style version now available: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:american-institute-of-physics

Can you provide a link to the current guidelines as well as a link to a freely available paper with the new format?

Hi, Thank you for making this easy for us with links and a numbered list. That's appreciated. 1+2: et-al and et-al-subsequent settings: fixed 3: I don't think that is possible. (maybe there is a workaround though) 4: subsequent-author-substitute…

I've been making citation styles for over 10 years. I learned CSL since I needed a style for my university during my BSc. Trial and Error and using the CSL Specification. And back then there were no visual tools to test a style. I made changes, save…

I don't think a random LaTex template is authoritative, but I've found some guidelines. I made some changes now: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/raw/5db9c7b9c17666ee15af0eda6e70eb30f4e2b4da/american-institute-of-physics.csl

Line 6: You'll also need to modify the self link. If you use the above linked validator you'd be able to identify that you have a syntax error in line 44.
