A lot of journals say "We use Vancouver!" and then actually specify just a numeric style based on Vancouver with modifications, which in turn makes it not Vancouver. Can you share the name of the journal and a link to their guidelines?

It's not any easy change for a beginner. Are you married to Vancouver style or could you use another numeric style? We have plenty of those.

The style does this correctly, since at least 2019 when the style was updated last time. You must have Volume or Page info in your item. Make sure nothing is in the extra field.
