In theory you can also click on the "Add/edit bibligoraphy" button and remove the extra entry. I'm not sure if that also removes this workaround's function though. You can try.

Du musst die in deinem Dokument (!) löschen und nochmal neu einfügen. Solche Einträge können innerhalb eines Dokumentes leben/überleben und dann machen die solche Sachen.

There is no better or worse. Certain citation styles want you to only give the first page. It's enough information to find the article. It also saves space in a bibliographic entry if you want a condensed format.
