Well, the suffixes are given as per the sorting in the bibliography (sorted by authors, then by titles). But the guidelines show an example that sorts it by citation-number. Updated style already on repository.

Are you sure you are using APA6? These changes came with APA7 which is now bundled with Zotero. See here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/80984/changes-to-apa-style-in-7th-edition/p1 That link also gives a link to APA6.

No, the other way. Look at that book chapter example you gave. I'm pretty sure Duvoison and McGrath are surnames, then the first names are abbreviated.

It sounds like you are not using the Zotero add-on to insert the citations. In Word, see the Zotero pane on the top and use the add/edit citations button to search for your reference and insert it into your text.
