@dstillman Syncing with the zotero.org library fails. What is the server used in this case? Is there a list of all the domain names accessed by Zotero?
-
@dstillman Requests to https://recognize.zotero.org are a feature of newer versions I guess? In earlier versions I could retrieve metadata without problems. Probably my proxy is blocking this domain. I'll check with the network admins.
-
By the way I am behind a proxy. Could be the source of the problem? Although the Zotero connector works fine, and Retrieve metatadata worked fine until recent updates.

I think I just did. D2057122540

@adamsmith It basically happens for every PDF. Any clue of what can be going on? These are PDFs of recent articles, with OCR.
-
I am using Zotero 5.0.44. It happens for multiple documents. Next time I find an example I'll update her.

same error here

Actually, it seems that if I attach first a PDF by dragging it in from the explorer, and then attach another PDF that I imported through the Zotero connector, the later is opened by default. Is the precise rule deciding what PDF to open defined some…
-
Apparenty this behavior has changed in recent versions. Now when I attach a new PDF file to an entry (like a supplementary information), the newest PDF seems to be the one that is opened when I double click on the entry. This is very inconvenient. W…

By the way, turns out that after disabling BBT, and enabling it again, the problem is solved :) If I can reproduce it again in the future I'll post here.
-
@dstillman Yes, that worked. So it's something to do with the interaction between BBT and Zotero. I tried opening an issue on BBT, but it seemed it was going to be a problem with Zotero. https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues/753

Cmd + C doesn't do anything on my end. In fact the corresponding menu entry under Edit is disabled. I only have Copy as Bibtex enabled, and the shortcut listd is CMD + Shift + C. Still not working here. I am using macOS High Sierra 10.12.6

Does it work on your end?
-
@adamsmith Yes, drag&drop works fine.
-
@dstillman Yesterday I updated to 5.0.23, but the iframe issue is not fixed yet. Was it supposed to work now?
-
@dstillman Great news! Thanks
-
@bwiernik But how do you keep track of its resolution status?
-
Is there an issue on Github tracking this regression (iframe PDFs from Sci-Hub are not imported)? Otherwise we should create one.
-
Yes, I just want adamsmith's 1) to work.
-
@andselisk We'd still have to visit Sci-hub page, so we still see the ads.
-
@dstillman Thanks. I think the link I provided reproduces the issue consistently.
-
@adamsmith It does not seem impossible. If I right-click on the PDF icon (it shows a PDF icon), there is an option "Save to Zotero (PDF)", which I can click. Then on Zotero, I get a dialog offering me the option to save the PDF to the library. All w…

Right now, the zotero connector for PDFs in chrome and safari does not seem to be working right. For example, in this site: http://sci-hub.cc/http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/j100622a021?journalCode=jpchax, if I click on the PDF icon in the brows…

@emiliano.heyns Great! So how do we install it? The Github page still says that the plugin is incomplete.
-
@emilianoheyns That's fantastic news!
-
Or maybe something else. If we could at least execute a terminal command to export the bibtex library, that would be convenient, because then I could automatize the thing myself. Is there a way to export the Zotero library to bibtex using the termin…
-
Great, hope you solve it soon.
-
Will this get added someday? I hope it does.
-
We should be able to modify this. Maybe add an option to change the "default open file" for each item in the library. At the moment many items in my library are opening the suppl. materials instead of main text.
