@adamsmith Yes, drag&drop works fine.
-
@dstillman Yesterday I updated to 5.0.23, but the iframe issue is not fixed yet. Was it supposed to work now?
-
@dstillman Great news! Thanks
-
@bwiernik But how do you keep track of its resolution status?
-
Is there an issue on Github tracking this regression (iframe PDFs from Sci-Hub are not imported)? Otherwise we should create one.
-
Yes, I just want adamsmith's 1) to work.
-
@andselisk We'd still have to visit Sci-hub page, so we still see the ads.
-
@dstillman Thanks. I think the link I provided reproduces the issue consistently.
-
@adamsmith It does not seem impossible. If I right-click on the PDF icon (it shows a PDF icon), there is an option "Save to Zotero (PDF)", which I can click. Then on Zotero, I get a dialog offering me the option to save the PDF to the library. All w…

Right now, the zotero connector for PDFs in chrome and safari does not seem to be working right. For example, in this site: http://sci-hub.cc/http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/j100622a021?journalCode=jpchax, if I click on the PDF icon in the brows…

@emiliano.heyns Great! So how do we install it? The Github page still says that the plugin is incomplete.
-
@emilianoheyns That's fantastic news!
-
Or maybe something else. If we could at least execute a terminal command to export the bibtex library, that would be convenient, because then I could automatize the thing myself. Is there a way to export the Zotero library to bibtex using the termin…
-
Great, hope you solve it soon.
-
Will this get added someday? I hope it does.
-
We should be able to modify this. Maybe add an option to change the "default open file" for each item in the library. At the moment many items in my library are opening the suppl. materials instead of main text.

I see a DOI field in Zotero 5. But it stands by itself. It would look better unified with the other IDs, which should also include ISSN, ISBN of books, etc, like in the Author field. Also ideally Zotero should fetch all these IDs automatically (cur…
-
@adamsmith The new fields in Zotero 5.1 include PMID, PMCID, etc.? That would be nice.
-
@adamsmith I was thinking about adding a field with common identifiers, DOI, PMID, PMCID, etc. Do something like the Authors, where you can add several authors, and select whether each is a collaborator, editor, etc. In the current version of Zote…

Any progress on this??

I am having trouble with this. I am getting different volumes of Knuth's art of computer programming marked as duplicates. Is there anything I can do?
-
Any updates on this? I am still having problems with http://projecteuclid.org/.
-
@bwiernik I agree, Contributor seems like a good replacement. However, maybe someday I want to use Contributor for, well, an actual contributor. Then I'll wish I had the advisor field. Why not just add "Advisor"? Is there a counterargument?
-
@adamsmith "E.g. lecture notes, in the bibliographical sense, are manuscripts (i.e. something written but not formally published)." This makes sense. Is there any documentation on the recommended item types to use in each case?
-
@Gracile Thanks, that's perfect. Actually I DO NOT want the advisor to appear in the citation (since that is not canonical). I just want to be able to search on it. So "collaborator" seems perfect.
-
dstillman, thanks! That's brilliant. I just leave a saved search there for when I need it and customize it on the spot.
-
By oldest, you are referring to the date the file was added to zotero, or the date the file was attached to the entry? The issue I have in mind, is that I added supplementary materials PDF before main text, and now whenever I double click, it opens…
-
One slight annoyance is that to obtain the list of items created by someone, on the main window, you have to save the search.
-
Also at least a hidden preference for this would be useful.
-
Thanks. Hopefully they add a keyboard shortcut to it.
