Nice

@sharpevo That's very nice. Hope this gets added to Zotero as a built-in feature.
-
Ok thanks for the answer.

> An upcoming version of Zotero will let you choose how many days to keep downloaded files before deleting the local versions automatically to free up disk space. I'm interested in cleaning up local storage of files that I have in the cloud (web…

That will be nice. Thanks!

Yes, I made sure all files are available online (I'm using Zotero to store the library and attachments). Before reading your replies, I decided to unlink my local account (removing all local data), and link it again. This successfully triggered a f…

This is happening again. Did something inadvertently revert the fix?
-
Bump :) It seems like this could be an easy fix
-
Fantastic!
-
Thanks for the link.
-
Ok thanks for the clarification!

@warwickmm Hey, I don't see this. Are you on iPad, iPhone, or the Desktop app?
-
Hello @dstillman, Any updates on this feature? Not rushing, just want to make sure it's not forgotten ;), and I don't want to miss it in case it's out. Thanks for the amazing work.

The annotation is still embedded in the file. It's an underlining, not a highlight. Could that be the reason? Now I removed the underlining with Adobe Acrobat, and things are okay.
-
(In case it helps, I'd be happy to DM you a link to the file in question in my web library; it's synced with Zotero.org)
-
@dstillman I just tried this. Indeed this removes annotations from the PDF file, and seems to import them into Zotero. However some of the imported notes are "locked" in Zotero (they can't be modified). Why?
-
Great. Thank you.
-
Yes, I prefer Zotero's own annotations. Actually, what I want to do is to remove annotations done with Acrobat from the PDF file, and I would like this removal to synced. Then I'll use Zotero's annotation exclusively.

Ah wow, few months is quicker than I expected. Nice to see Zotero development picking up such momentum.
-
Happy to hear!
-
Nice. Looking. forward to it.
-
This feature is intended to go eventually into a minor version of Zotero 6? Or it'll wait for Zotero 7?
-
Out of curiosity, what's the time horizon estimate for a Zotero 7?
-
Very nice feature! Happy to see Zotero progressing so much!

On the desktop app, this function is mapped to the keyboard shortcut Alt + Left arrow (to go back). Or also in the menu, Go -> Back. Maybe a floating back arrow can be shown after following a link on the iOS devices.

Zotero Version 1.0.3 iOS 15.6 iPad Pro 11', 3rd generation. I uninstalled Zotero and reinstalled. Now seems to be working.

More precisely, see attached picture: https://e1.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZUw6LZNGY9Tc5XNoylE4fzxfc5W7dskzNk This occurs when the iPhone is in landscape orientation, with the notch on the left.

That sounds great.

Eraser would be very helpful. Also supporting the double tap function of the Pencil 2 to switch between between pencil and eraser.
