Thanks, that will be fixed as well. Also, I should mention that you should use Zotero Word plugin "Add Note" functionality instead of dropping a note directly, because otherwise you are just inserting plain text that won't allow you to update citat…

@ZebBe77 To export PDF file with annotations you have to open PDF tab and click "File -> Save As...", which will save a new PDF to a desired path. Currently you can't save annotations to the original PDF that is in Zotero data directory (although…

Seems like a recent bug. It will be fixed in the next update. Thanks. For now, to update a citation you can modify the note by typing any character and reopening the note again. The citation will be updated.
-
For now you should split that note into separate ones.
-
@tlcallis To test if Zotero annotations are saved to the actual PDF file you have to open it with another PDF viewer and see if those annotations exist.
-
@zareshahi I guess the problem appears only for some PDFs? Could you send us this PDF to support@zotero.org also including a link to this thread?
-
For the last file, all pages have label "1". The software that produced the PDF was faulty. But in future we will try to fix those.
-
@octavabasso I can reproduce the previously reported problems and created a few issues: https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/2211 https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/2212 But if you are saying that you always get the same page number - this …

It will be fixed in the next update.

Ok, I can reproduce the issue with a quick test that does simultaneous writes to the same file. That fails only Windows, while no issues observed on Linux, macOS. This might affect any part of Zotero, not only PDF reader.
-
Yes, please send an example PDF to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread. Thanks.

1) Does it happen with other PDF files? 2) Does it happen if you create a new annotation and do "Add to Note" again?

The new editor can't support any custom classes or other custom HTML modifications. Regarding the CSS, while, in theory, it would be possible to override it, it might interfere with Zotero note editor in various unexpected ways, especially for high…

Yes, image file pasting from file system doesn't work on Firefox on Linux/macOS, and on Windows it just uncontrollably inserts image. For now we will block this behaviour, although in future there might be improvements on this.
-
Just use Go > Back.
-
Yes, this is planned to be fixed. Thanks for reporting.
-
@mschwarze That's strange, and unclear how we could reproduce it. Next time try to make a screenshot as well.
-
No, they should be opened in tabs. We'll fix that.
-
1. We will fix that soon. 3. What operating system are you using? 4-5. This is planned. 6. Yes, this would be useful. We will think about that.
-
The fix will be in the next update. Thanks for reporting.
-
Thanks for reporting. It'll be fixed in the next update.
-
@Arktika Indeed, the old editor was able to insert image just from a direct image link. We'll fix that.
-
This is PDF.js problem. It will take time to be fixed. Can be tracked here https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues/13845
-
@zuphilip Right, you should see a checkmark. We'll investigate what's the problem on Windows.
-
Currently it shows title when there are no authors, and it applies for all item types. But we might consider to show short title if that makes sense.
-
@xaperret Could you send a PDF file with those problematic annotations? You can export it with "File -> Save As" from PDF reader tab. If so, you can send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread. I hope we can later right click an anno…
-
@yuecq Would it be possible for you to make a video demonstrating the cursor issue? Does it happen with empty notes as well? Regarding the second issue, you can just drag an annotation from PDF reader to any position in the note.
-
@kazzy Are those images just external links to some website (please share a screenshot as well)?. If so, this is not the best way to keep images in your note anyway, because they can be removed from the original website anytime. The new note editor…
-
@fanleny 1) All your images were inserted before upgrading to this new editor right? Could you send a screenshot of note editor with those small images? What happens if you insert new images now? 2) We will see what we can do there. How exactly w…
-
@bwiernik I guess we can discuss this after the release. For now we're trying to determine the best defaults. Are you saying it's difficult to spot highlight annotations and citations? For inserted comments/notes we can't do anything (at least for…
