We have plans to improve annotation filtering, but for now you can just drag selected annotations into a note. That should help to overcome the issue.
-
I can't reproduce this — highlight colors are visible for me in reports. Could you make a screenshot of the report and another screenshot of the note?
-
Thanks for the memory reports. We are aware of the issue, and should be able to fix that later this year.

Adobe Acrobat Reader doesn't do anything better. The text is still gibberish if trying to copy it. The only difference might be that it doesn't extract text at all.
-
This is how Zotero PDF reader currently works. It only renders pages that you are reading and a few more above and below. Therefore you can't copy text from other pages. But if there is an interest in selecting and copying the whole PDF file text, …
-
@hbj153 This is the PDF file issue. Most likely the text layer was corrupted on purpose to make text copying more difficult.
-
Well, it depends on how many notes you have like this, but you can manually copy note content from PDF attachment to a new child note. This way all your images will be properly imported.
-
@ZongWu The issue will be fixed in the next beta.
-
Currently Zotero doesn't properly support images in attachment notes. If that would be a separate note, the image would be imported and visible in full size.
-
This is another regression related with tags array. We'll fix this soon.
-
We have a fix for that in the latest beta, and soon will be in 6.0.6 release.
-
@rseedat We can't reproduce it. Could you send a video demonstrating the issue?
-
We can reproduce the issue. Something in the PDF pages is significantly affecting rendering performance. The issue will be fixed later this year when we upgrade our underlying libraries.
-
@_volker_ Yes, please send the whole RDF file.
-
@erazlogo Markup that isn't supported in Zotero note editor will be stripped.
-
@hayhayhay It might help if you directly report the issue to https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues , with screenshots and example PDFs. I mean the issue you see on https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html , because eventually we will up…
-
@hayhayhay Does the problem exist if you open the PDF file with https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html ?
-
@_volker_ Could you export this note to HTML (Right click on note item and then Export Note…), and send to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
Please send an example PDF to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
-
We are aware of the issue and it should be fixed later this year.
-
Can you open the PDF file with any other PDF viewer and then copy text somewhere to see if it is correct or not? If it isn't, then there is no way to fix that, and it's PDF a file issue.
-
@hayhayhay Could you send the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? @ambulate Most likely your issue is already fixed and should be available in one of upcoming Zotero releases.
-
-
This seems fixed in newer PDF.js versions. We'll upgrade to a newer version later this year.
-
At 00:11, for a fraction of second, an empty conflict resolution dialog appears and makes PDF reader to loose focus. Although no idea why it appears.
-
Could you record and upload a video demonstrating the issue? I can't reproduce it.
-
We'll investigate — thanks.
-
We need at least one PDF page to diagnose the problem. Could you send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?

Do File → Save As and print the saved PDF in another PDF viewer.
