Could you explain more? Or make a video demonstrating the issue?
-
It's probably this issue. @ellon It would be useful if you could send us the PDF file to support@zotero.org also including a link to this thread.
-
We'll consider returning this back. Thanks for letting us know.
-
Please make this file publicly available.
-
The issue will be fixed in the next update.
-
Well, there is Monospace formatting option if you want to preserve everything.
-
Could you paste the note content here?
-
The issue will be fixed in the next update. Thanks for reporting.

We'll fix this in the next update. Thanks for reporting.

@reimerth Indenting is weird in other respects too. If I have the cursor at the beginning of an annotation in the note, tab won't indent, but if cursor is at the end of the annotation (either before or after the citation), tab will indent. We'll f…

Shift-Tab works, although, yes, it unindents if the cursor is in a list.
-
You can try pressing Tab/Shift-Tab multiple times.
-
Underline annotations should be imported as highlights. @keyuanhuang @tristone13th If that doesn't work please send an example PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
-
@ytikewk Could you make a screenshot demonstrating the problem? If you just see strange shapes around images see this.
-
There already is a tiny note icon at the top-left corner of a highlight.
-
Yes, the PDF file doesn't have a text layer. In theory, it should be possible to re-OCR it, but we can't help with that. And yes, "Select Area" tool is the only option here.
-
@ajxmw10 The new note editor is pasting an image if it was copied to the clipboard. The real question is why OneNote is copying an image to the clipboard when you are copying text. Maybe you can disable this behavior in OneNote settings.
-
You can upload it to Google Drive, Dropbox or any other free website that allows to do it.
-
@ajxmw10 Could you make a screenshot demonstrating the issue?
-
@heihaimian It seems you are using a custom template. Active highlights are only supported when the highlighted text is wrapped between quotation marks or in a blockquote.
-
Well, yes, this is kind of a bug. Although using highlights without quotes, in a paragraph, can have unexpected behavior. With quotes it should work as expected.
-
We'll try to improve that. Thanks for reporting.
-
@Alb That's a good point. We'll fix it.
-
"When generating reports from notes the highlighting completely dissapear if we try to copy paste this report into word for example (which is necessary since reports are randomly organised and show content I do not need. eg: tags for each note). Wit…
-
We have plans to improve annotation filtering, but for now you can just drag selected annotations into a note. That should help to overcome the issue.
-
I can't reproduce this — highlight colors are visible for me in reports. Could you make a screenshot of the report and another screenshot of the note?
-
Thanks for the memory reports. We are aware of the issue, and should be able to fix that later this year.

Adobe Acrobat Reader doesn't do anything better. The text is still gibberish if trying to copy it. The only difference might be that it doesn't extract text at all.
-
This is how Zotero PDF reader currently works. It only renders pages that you are reading and a few more above and below. Therefore you can't copy text from other pages. But if there is an interest in selecting and copying the whole PDF file text, …
