Not much we can do at the moment. We have to wait until PDF.js fixes that. Most likely there is something non-standard with the those images. I saw similar cases before.

This is fixed in a newer PDF.js version (the underlying library behind Zotero PDF reader). But we'll upgrade only after releasing Zotero 7.

- When pasting a picture into a note, if the item has been searched for, it works, but the note is instantly closed, the item unselected, and the main panel goes back to the whole library. We'll fix this.

Try going to Zotero Preferences → Advanced → Config Editor and setting layers.acceleration.disabled to true, and then restart Zotero. It should fix the issue, but can affect performance. If it doesn't help revert the setting back.

Can you see the image if you open the PDF file with PDF.js online viewer?

That usually happens if PDF file has very large scanned images. You should open the PDF file with another PDF viewer.

Maybe the PDF file is corrupted. Does it work if you open it with a PDF viewer?

I guess you are talking about "Collections Pane", "Item Pane", "Tag Selector" options. Yes, these only have an effect for the My Library tab. I guess we should hide them in other tabs.

Yes, possibly this doesn't work on Linux, but hopefully gets fixed in Zotero 7.

@Chamlale If you right-click on the highlight in note editor and then click on "Right to Left", does it help?

Is there a way to only sync the note images but not the other attachments? At the moment, there is no way to do that. Also, why don't you use file syncing?

I don't use file syncing Without file syncing note images can't be synced, because they are files.

@poettli A few more questions: 1) Is this a group library? If so, do you have permissions to upload files (because note images are files). 2) Have you changed any settings for file syncing? I.e. do you use download "as needed" mode?

@naimil And if you close the PDF tab and reopen it again, the bookmarks still aren't visible?

Note editor is using localised quotation marks, but the thing is that they aren't localised for German language. We'll take a look into that.
