Eventually the new features will work on many more documents, but it will take time.

And yes, the new features activate only after the document is fully loaded, ensuring they don’t disrupt usage. Activation may take a few seconds or more, as it requires relatively heavy processing as well.

This is already fixed in Zotero 7 beta.

@mjthoraval Thanks for testing this. Yes, Zotero 6 uses a very old version of PDF.js, which has various rendering issues.

Most likely we'll disable the new features for books and large papers, unless they have internal links to references, figures, tables, etc.
