@hiattallen Could you send the PDF to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? Normally, we try to automatically disable this feature for the files you mentioned.
-
@warwickmm Please send the PDF file.
-
It'll be fixed in the next update — thanks.

Unfortunately, this is a Firefox issue, and we don’t have a way to work around it.
-
But can you still reproduce that in the latest beta?
-
This is a complicated case. There is a link annotation over the entire reference, but it uses a clipping path to exclude the black text area. Some viewers, like PDF Expert, display the whole rectangle, while others, like Preview.app, show the link w…

Eventually the new features will work on many more documents, but it will take time.
-
And yes, the new features activate only after the document is fully loaded, ensuring they don’t disrupt usage. Activation may take a few seconds or more, as it requires relatively heavy processing as well.

Yes, if the reference can’t be matched but the PDF has an internal link on the in-text citation, it will function like any other internal link preview. Additionally, it now renders the entire page but trims the margins and centers on the red spot, …

We'll fix this soon. Thanks for reporting.

Is it helpful to you if I report all the problems I'm seeing with this feature? Definitely helpful!
-
Thanks for the examples. We'll try to fix those issues in future versions.
-
You're right. We'll think how we could improve that.
-
Are you still experiencing the issue? If so, could you make a video? I am unable to reproduce the issue here.

Please send the problematic PDF files to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.

This is already fixed in Zotero 7 beta.
-
@mjthoraval Thanks for testing this. Yes, Zotero 6 uses a very old version of PDF.js, which has various rendering issues.
-
Please include a link to this thread when sending the PDF file, as I see that it’s the same file as in another thread.

Please send the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread. We should be able to fix that in future.

Could you send the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?

Yes, this feature is still experimental, but it will improve over time. Thanks for reporting.
-
This is expected behavior because the link annotations in the PDF file are misplaced and don’t align with the blue text.

Could you send the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
Most likely we'll disable the new features for books and large papers, unless they have internal links to references, figures, tables, etc.

We’ll improve on that. Thanks for reporting it.
-
@warwickmm Could you explain your workflow when exactly that is still needed?
-
Yes, I get that error from time to time as well, but it doesn't explain the performance issue.
