@ygna0512 Can you also test if you have this problem in Zotero notes?
-
@fanchengyan I noticed in the video that sync is running. It can affect reader performance. Can you make another video with finished sync, disabled plugins and, of course, layers.acceleration.disabled set to false? @mdugganmrcvs Could you send an e…

It seems to be the same problem. We've created an issue for it. Thanks for reporting.
-
UI with 100% scaling seems too small and unusable on 15 inch screen, isn't it? Why are you using it?
-
@fanchengyan It seems that even moving the scrollbar lags for almost a second in the video… Please test again after doing the following two things: 1) Disable all third-party plugins. 2) Check if Settings → Advanced → Config Editor → layers.acceler…

Could you also provide a larger screenshot of the entire Zotero window showing the reader UI at 100% scaling?
-
@binary10 Thanks for the great video! Only the second case was a regression. The first and third cases are the same as in Zotero 6. Only the Note annotation automatically focuses on the comment field right after it's added. For the first case, c…

What is your screen resolution and display size?
-
The issue of search blocking page rendering is fixed. The search is still a bit slow, but we’ll work on improving it.
-
Can you reproduce this in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins? Can you provide a Debug ID for it happening?
-
Highlighting the current outline item is planned for PDF files, but we'll see if this is possible for EPUB files as well.
-
I can’t reproduce the issues with Zotero 7.0.9. Could you record a video demonstrating all the issues you mentioned?
-
We'll fix that—thanks.
-
Please upload a screenshot showing the popup and PDF pages with your typical zoom level so we can compare the difference.
-
This is most likely a PDF file issue. You can check if other PDF viewers have the same problem. I think the only option is to recreate the text layer by running it through OCR software.
-
Fixed in Zotero 7.0.9.
-
Do you have examples how it should look on your system instead? Or screenshots from the older Zotero versions? Is the font bad in specific parts of the Zotero UI or everywhere?
-
Can you reproduce this in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”)? If so, can you make a video?
-
Do you see the pattern "full form (abbreviation)" in all documents? If so, we might consider parsing them. Do you know any other software that does that?
-
No need to create duplicates. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/119392/highlighting-symbol-of-the-reader-outline-wont-run-automatically-in-zotero-7-0-9
-
This is planned, but thanks for the suggestion.
-
I mean version 7.0.9. Also, make sure all third-party plugins are disabled during testing.
-
@binary10 Can you reproduce that in the latest Zotero version?
-
Once again, do you have a file that performs worse on Zotero 7 compared to Zotero 6?
-
@binary10 Could you write down the exact steps so we can reproduce this?
-
How does the blurriness change when you zoom in or out?
-
The red point target in the PDF is set by the creator. We only display it.
-
@samvimes Ok, I can reproduce this. We'll fix it. Thanks.
-
@fronbasal Could you send an example PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? Also could you provide a Debug ID for it happening?
-
@nonchalant.se @fronbasal Does this happen with all PDF files?
