Yes, currently titles of multivolume works are not supported--this will be available when hierarchical item types are implemented.

>Bluebook style is really illogical, so I've graphed out the structures of the different types of citations and I can't see how they can all be called with the same set of instructions, even using macros. Even if you include conditionals within t…

@sdedalus1 Oxford Art Journal style extra title bug is now fixed
-
Use "suppress author" option in the Word plugin.

All these bugs are fixed on the dev branch and in the version of the Chicago Author-Date style available from the Dev Styles section at http://www.zotero.org/styles/ The public style will be automatically updated when 1.0.4 comes out (should be soo…

mark - The other thread refers to a different problem. APA and MLA do require an extra break between bibliography entries, so I didn't change anything in those styles. The question of using "entry-spacing" settings vs Word styles in the other thread…

To have no extra lines, you need to add the following option to your bibliography layout: This is now done in all Chicago styles--you can download from the Dev Styles section at http://www.zotero.org/styles/ Chicago note styles will only work with…
-
Bruce-- It may make sense for you as the CSL lead to write something like an open letter to major style guide organizations--MLA, BlueBook, Chicago--asking to make their standards more, well, standard and reasonable--i.e. abolish archaic Latin abbr…

The problem is it's rather inflexible. It works in this case, but are there other cases of multiple roles? Well, in the case of producer and director, only the director will be cited anyway. In cases like "translated and with introduction by" Chicag…

I'm having a hard time ATM seeing an easy way to add explicit rules for collapsing roles here. How about adding creator role "ed. and trans." both in Zotero and CSL? A user would only have to enter the creator once then.
-
Currently, when I drag&drop items into word the formated citation (name (1993): Titel. journal...) is inserted. This is certainly a very helpful thing. When I am writing a text, however, it would be helpful to drop&drop the in-text reference…

Composite items such as images in magazines will be addressed in the future hierarchical item types system.
-
thanks--this is now fixed in the dev note styles.
-
It seems that Chicago style adds and extra space before the "trans." and ".ed" Can you give me an example? I also can't get the bibliography to automatically "———" a repeated author's name. This is fixed in the dev build and will be available in Z …

this has been fixed on the dev branch--the fix will be available in Z 1.0.4

Yup, it's possible to annotate files stored outside of Zotero--see instructions. So if your media file doesn't open in Firefox but you still want to store and annotate it in Zotero, you can import it into Zotero by dragging it over a parent item, …

@mheim Thanks for your comments. DVD support and annotating of files stored outside of zotero are planned. The latter should solve your storage issue. We'll look into your vlc-related suggestions. In the meantime, we added over 50 file formats to V…

Right-click on the note and choose "Generate report from selected item," then use browser "find" function to search the note as you would any web page.
-
@mheim I downloaded the vlc plugin but still am not able to load a DVD in my browser. Are you sure it's possible with vlc?

Ticket created.

claireystew-- We added support for wav and mp3 files but in the process disabled video display by mistake. This is now fixed--thanks! Please update to Vertov 0.7.1.2 in your Add-ons to get the video functionality back.

One more petty thing. Journal title citations should drop any "the" at the beginning, ie "Journal of Political Economy" not "The Journal of Political Economy". Zotero has been scraping "The" for some journals. I can just drop these by hand in the da…

a dialogue on adding a new item, warning that multiple tags are to be applied, with a list of the tags alongside pre-ticked checkboxes That would be pretty annoying if you're trying to add several items one after another. an option in the tag select…

The updated version of the APA style has been pushed to the repository. Your copy of Zotero should auto-update within 24 hours, or you can update manually by clicking Update Now in the General pane of the Zotero prefs.

See this thread

Done--the new version is under Dev Styles at http://www.zotero.org/styles/

That's an interesting idea. I'd be a little concerned that people would add tags to items inadvertently, though. What do others think? Can we have a preference for that that people could uncheck if the inadvertent behavior became too annoying? Elena…

yes that would be great and also this: Suppose I have a saved search on a bunch of tags (i.e. tag=ch1 and tag=south america). If I select this saved search when adding items from online databases, it would be great if Zotero could automatically add…

Yes, I forgot it was defined in CSL. I think until the ticket is resolved the sentence case for titles should be turned off in APA. But I'll leave it to Zotero developers to decide.

You can set title or sentence case in the record in Zotero in the info pane (right-click on the title), then add your own edits.
