Try opening /Applications/Utilities/Terminal and typing: ls -l ~/.zoteroIntegrationPipe You should see output that looks like: prw-r--r-- 1 simon simon 0 Oct 4 18:39 /Users/simon/.zoteroIntegrationPipe (The name will be yours, and the date wil…

This is a bug in the Qt VCL plug-in, which SuSE installs by default. It's also a problem under Karmic in Kubuntu, for any others on the bleeding edge. On SuSE, if you move the file /usr/lib/ooo3/basis3.1/program/libvclplug_kde4lx.so (/usr/lib/ooo3/b…

oman002, can you send the document to support@zot...org with a link to this thread?
-
As far as I can tell, openSuSE 11.2 isn't released. OOo 3.0.0 under openSuSE 11.1 has worked perfectly in our testing, as has OOo 3.1.1 on other platforms. I'm going to install the latest 11.2 milestone in VMWare later today and see if I can figure …

You're right. I forgot to update a file in that version, which meant that things weren't working right. Try updating the trunk again, either by following that link or by clicking Find Updates in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions.
-
matthew and aline, what OS, version of Java (see here), and Java plug-in (in about:plugins) are you running?
-
It's taken us a little while, but the OpenOffice trunk XPI should now work with OOo 2.4. Just remember to manually install 3.0a5 when it becomes available.
-
This should be fixed in the OpenOffice trunk XPI, now available. You should switch back to 3.0a5 when it comes out.

In Word 2004, there should be a Zotero.dot file in /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Startup/Word (the other location is for Word 2008). Have you checked View->Toolbars to see if the toolbar is available there?
-
What citation style are you using?
-
Have you tried adding a new citation to a new document, and then copying and pasting your citations from the old document to the new document? If that doesn't help, you can send your document to support@zot...org and we'll take a look.
-
Can you see if there's any output if you start Firefox from the command line and then try to insert a citation?
-
Does Java work here? If so, does this page also work?
-
This is almost certainly a Java issue. Have you tried installing sun-java6-plugin and uninstalling icedtea6-plugin? If you've already done that, can you provide a report ID?
-
What version of the OOo plug-in were you running previously? Can you provide a report ID (after triggering the dialog again)?
-
This appears to be a bug in Firefox (#513747). From that bug, it looks like executing Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin instead of Contents/MacOS/firefox should take care of things.
-
This should be fixed in OpenOffice Integration 3.0a4, now available.
-
wuyang, can you send an old document that's experiencing this issue to support@zot...org with a link to this thread?
-
ndwyer, what version of Zotero WinWord Integration were you running previously? Was it 3.0a1 or an older version? fawad, what version of Windows are you running?
-
The current version of Zotero doesn't like the { or } characters in citations. This is going to be fixed in 2.0b7.3, but for now, you should avoid these.
-
It looks like you have an accented character in your home directory name. Do you have any idea how this got there? It's almost certainly what's causing this issue, and as far as I know OS X uses your short name when you initially set it up, which is…
-
Are you sure your OpenOffice directory paths are correct?
-
Jesse, if that worked, then you may be running up against this issue. In short, opening a document with information rights management will prevent Zotero from operating on any other open documents in Word 2003.
-
We've determined that an unmatched bracket can potentially cause this error, but it's possible that there are other causes as well. In the future, can you copy the text from the editor before you click "OK" to add a complicated new citation, and ema…
-
SalishSea, you might want to try starting Firefox from the command line, then triggering "Reinstall OpenOffice.org Components." If there is an error installing the oxt into OpenOffice.org, a message should appear there. Note that, on some OOo builds…
-
Do you still see the error if you restart your computer, and then create a new document before opening any other documents?
-
zotomat, Thanks for the file. As it turns out, your error was caused by an unclosed bracket in a citation in your bibliography. This isn't supposed to produce an error, and this will be fixed in 2.0b7.3, but for now you can just edit the reference …

Do you have more than one copy of Word installed or open?
-
javier, if you go to View->Macros in a new document, are there any macros starting with Z listed there? If so, can you run them?
-
harper, do you have a non-English (Spanish?) version of Word? If so, try my instructions in this thread.
