Zotero can automatically detect some proxies, but not yours (because Innovative Interfaces Inc. won't provide us with the necessary information to do so, and we don't have an III proxy server to test with). You can, however, set this up manually. If…

Can you try installing the WinWord Integration 3.0 Branch XPI and generate a new Report ID? It's not thoroughly tested and may not work at all, but if it does, it might give a slightly more useful error message. Thanks.

What operating system?
-
We've never seen this error before, and I'm not quite sure what to attribute it to. Does the Java tester show a pink rectangle? Do you have permissions to create a new file in /tmp?
-
Try generating a report ID after triggering the error. This will help us figure out whether it's a Java issue or something else.
-
Did you try reinstalling OpenOffice components?

The SOAP API is dead. Integration plug-ins are now implemented as Firefox extensions implementing the methods in idl/zoteroIntegration.idl, which probably won't work for your purposes. MozRepl, which Dan linked to in your previous thread, is one opt…

Make a copy of your document and try the (somewhat untested) WinWord Integration 3.0 Branch XPI.
-
You also need to disable ForceField, which apparently doesn't always get disabled with ZoneAlarm. Try these instructions.
-
This is fixed in the latest (not yet released) Zotero builds, but in most cases, it can be resolved by restarting your computer.

You have to generate a report ID after triggering the issue. Java should work automatically on OS X, but there are several reasons it might not. Start by installing the latest Java update and reinitializing the Firefox plugins database. if that does…

Can you provide a report ID? Usually, this error message indicates there's something wrong with your Java installation. Do you see the pink box here?
-
You can also try the MacWord Integration 3.0 Branch XPI, which will replace the problematic character in the problematic citation with a question mark and thus make your document work again.
-
You can just copy the Zotero data directory. Zotero 2 will recognize it and upgrade it automatically.
-
You can select multiple items and drag them onto a tag in the tag selector.
-
Did you edit any of your citations with the editor and paste something in? That's the only way I can imagine this happening. Obviously, it's a bug that shouldn't be happening at all (and won't happen with Zotero 2.1 because we've already changed the…

That error isn't in your error report. Try generating a new error report immediately after triggering the issue.
-
document.evaluate doesn't work on those pages with standard parameters, which is why unAPI and COinS are both failing. I need to look into this further.
-
Try installing the MacWord Integration 3.0 Branch XPI.
-
The trunk now supports WTN8601.
-
paulian claire, can you take a screenshot of the error message and email it to support@zot...org?
-
You can select multiple references and drag them onto a tag, but you are correct that Zotero doesn't currently otherwise allow batch editing of references. I'm not sure what you would accomplish by batch adding/editing notes (assuming this is what y…

Can you generate a report ID?

Ordinarily, it doesn't look for the installation on the C: drive—there is code to do this but it only gets called if you have ZoneAlarm installed with ForceField enabled, at least as far as we know.
-
You could try creating a new Firefox profile, but we're pretty much out of ideas here. It looks like the Zotero MacWord Integration Firefox extension isn't loading properly, probably due to issues with pythonext, but it's not something that we've se…

Does it work if you use a standard Firefox installation?
-
b.c.hamans, this is cool—we may try to work something like this into a later Word plug-in.
-
You may need to change the paths in the Zotero OpenOffice Integration preferences (under Tools->Add-ons) to point to your new installation. Simply clicking the "Detect OpenOffice.org Paths" button there may do the trick. If not, these instruction…

We can't "tweak" Zotero for Word 2010 unless we can get more information, since it works properly on our Word 2010 test systems.
