Ah, from seeing the screenshot, it looks like you're using bookmarks? If this is the case, try downloading OpenOffice from OpenOffice.org, which doesn't have this bug, rather than using the version included with Lucid.

Are you using Office 2004 or Office 2008? If you're using Office 2008, things should work regardless of this installation issue, and I can give you instructions on how to suppress the error. If you're using Office 2004, the situation is a little mor…

Are you getting a dialog asking you to reselect a citation first? This is the only reason I can think of that the removeCode method would get called at all, unless you press the Remove Field Codes button. In any case, can you send a screenshot of t…

Have you tried restarting?

Additionally, to allow us to diagnose your error message, you need to generate a report ID after triggering the error dialog but before restarting Zotero. There are no errors listed in the report above.

LeanneJParry, I just committed your patch to the repository. Thanks!

There's a bug report out on the underlying issue (which is a regression in IcedTea) here and another here. We haven't heard anything from the IcedTea developers.

Currently, I plan to ask contributors to explicitly permit or deny permission to relicense under CC-BY-SA. For legal reasons, I think it's better to have explicit permission—Mozilla's relicensing required approval from each individual contributor. I…

Unless there are objections, I'll be sending out an email in the next day to everyone who has submitted or contributed a style asking them to license their work under CC-BY-SA. I think it's important that it's clear that they are free to use and dis…

Can you provide a report ID?

Give the official pythonext build a try and see if that works. If not, you'll probably want to file a bug report at the pythonext site—my familiarity with the pythonext codebase is only superficial.

Debora, Your problem is a "hidden" table of contents field below "Literature," which you can view by going to Tools->Options and checking "Hidden Text" (for Word 2003 and below) or by clicking the Paragraph symbol on the toolbar (for any version…

I received your document, and I'd like to fix this issue, but first I have to track down what's causing it, so as not to corrupt your document along the way. Do you know what version of Zotero you upgraded from? If you copy and paste a citation to…

There is no encryption key. If the application you're trying to use says there's an encryption key, either it doesn't support the data format at all, or it's using an outdated version of the SQLite library.

On my computer, it looks like DC.creator is being imported, but incorrectly (the first and last names aren't being broken apart). This is a bug. DC.date.created isn't supported because we currently support only unqualified DC. However, DC.created o…

monkeyc, this is a different issue from that above, but if you could email the screenshot (and, if possible, the document that produces the error) to support@zot..org, we'll try to take care of it.

What style are you using in Zotero, and what view are you using in Word? Assuming you have selected a footnote-based style, It's highly likely that the footnote is being added, but you just can't see it. Try selecting Footnotes from the View menu.

Can you save a copy of the document, delete the parts that aren't affected, and email the affected excerpt to support@zot...org? We'll try to figure out what's going on.

Have you tried disabling your other Firefox extensions?

Firefox 4.0b2 will break everything, due to some API changes the Firefox folks made a couple weeks ago, and will probably require a separate version of the Word plug-in. If you need things to be stable, please Firefox 3.6.6—we are working on Firefo…

In principle, it would be relatively easy to create an OpenURL resolver that redirects to a Google Scholar search, which you direct Zotero to use this resolver for the "Locate" button, although I can't actually find any such efforts.

1) is definitely a defect that we should take care of. I've opened a ticket. Opening the add or edit citation windows for the first time is slow, but they should open much faster after that. There's no reason that they should bring a Firefox window…

Have you edited the document in OpenOffice.org? If not, would you mind sending your document to support@zot...org so that we can take a look?

Have you modified any styles or installed any new styles? If so, try moving the modified styles out of the styles directory, or deleting the styles you've installed in the Styles pane of the Zotero preferences, under the cog menu. If not, try choosi…

Can you create a bibliography by control-clicking a reference within Zotero and choosing "Create Bibliography from Selected Item..." and then "Save as RTF"? If not, can you generate a report ID for that as well?

Does this happen in a new document? When you click the Add Citation button, do you get a window that asks you to choose a style? If so, do you only get this error for some styles, or does it happen for all of them?

Non-persistence of line formatting is a known issue. On each update, the bibliography format is replaced with the format specified by the style. There are a couple of outstanding tickets that should take care of this (current target is Zotero 2.1). …

ulrich, can you reproduce this in a new document?

If you click the "Edit Bibliography" button after you've inserted your bibliography, it should be possible to add additional references besides those you've cited in footnotes.
