We've never tested it in notebook layout, and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work. The error message seems to indicate that this is probably not something we can fix because required functionality isn't present in notebook layout, but this is…

I did actually tweak something in the branch XPI in addition to adding the debug code. I didn't think it would fix anything if there were no non-English characters in your path, but it's possible it did. Thanks for the report, and post here if you s…

Does disabling just one of the two extensions allow Firefox to launch? What about deleting ~/Library/Caches/Firefox and the extensions.rdf file in your profile directory? Do you have any other Firefox extensions installed? Have you tried disabling t…

Can you provide a report ID? Thanks.

I'm not sure if it's a problem with your Word install. I think there has been at least one other report of this issue, although I have never been able to reproduce it or anything like it on my test machines. If you're willing to help us track this …

Marc, this is not the same problem as anything reported above. Have you followed the steps here and here?

With Firefox open, can you open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and type (or copy and paste) ls -la /Users/Shared/.zotero* and press return, and then paste the output here? Also try typing echo 'MacWord2008 addCitation' > "/Users/Shared/.…

Zotero MacWord Integration 3.0b5 is now available.

If I understand you correctly, the cursor at the insertion point (where new characters show up when you type text) is no longer appearing. This doesn't seem to happen on my computer, at least in a short document, but if it's happening to you, it's a…

Well, first install OOo 3.2.1 and see if that helps. If not, go to Add-ons->OpenOffice.org Integration and click "Detect Paths" and then "Re-Install OpenOffice.org Components". If you still get an error, copy the UNO directory and soffice directo…

Does it depend at all on where you save the file or what you call it? What's the file name and the path (which you copy to the clipboard by right clicking the file, selecting "Properties", right-clicking the Location field, selecting "Select All", a…

Does this happen in every paragraph, or just one specific paragraph? In the latter case, have you tried completely deleting the bibliography after inserting the citation? Does it come back?

What do you mean by "it's also generating the bibliography into the middle of my text"? Is there one specific place in the middle of your document where a bibliography is getting inserted, or several? Is it overwriting text in your document with a b…

There are no Zotero errors in that report. You need to re-generate the report ID after triggering the error.

You can also install the MacWord Integration Trunk XPI without worrying about your database. The code is significantly less well-tested than the MacWord Branch XPI, but there isn't any risk of corruption; the main danger is that it won't work. Alter…

Provided you install only the MacWord Integration 3.0 Branch XPI (not the Zotero 2.0 Branch XPI, or any of the trunk XPIs), your database won't be touched in any way. The only difference between this and the currently available MacWord plug-in is tw…

Do you have any security software installed? If so, does disabling it fix this error? Are you intentionally or unintentionally running Word 2007 with administrator privileges, or have you updated to Word 2010 (Click-to-Run install) at some point? Th…

This is probably the same issue as that reported in the beta, so staying on this thread should be okay. If you are running Zotero 2.0.9, try installing the Zotero MacWord Integration 3.0 Branch XPI (not the trunk). If this works, we'll push another …

Do you have Track Changes on? If so, accept all changes.

This will be fixed in 3.0b2, available in a few minutes.

Does the update finish installing without an error?

Also, just in case, make sure he is clicking the magnifying glass button, and not the magnifying glass inside the quicksearch box.

No problems for me on Windows 7. The first thing to try is disabling other Firefox extensions, which might be interfering with Zotero. If that doesn't work, we'll need a report ID to troubleshoot the error further.
-
Restarting your computer will probably fix this. If not, we're pushing a new version of the Word plug-in later today that will almost certainly fix this.
-
We're pushing a new version of the Word plug-in later today. You can try that when it comes out and see if it helps, or you can try installing the 3.0 branch XPI now (you'll want to install the next release it comes out). EDIT: New plug-in has been…
