Can all of you give a report ID? Also, salchicha, it would be great if you can start a new thread; this thread is for a Word install error which is unlikely to be related to your problems with OpenOffice.org.

Can you provide a report ID?
-
This is an issue related to Leopard. Unfortunately, I don't have a Leopard machine to test on, but I think I may have fixed this in the MacWord Integration Trunk XPI. If you could try it and let me know if it works, that would be great.
-
Can either of you try the version of standalone here and let us know if it fixes things?
-
I can't reproduce this. Can you generate a report ID?
-
Try contacting Microsoft.
-
Thanks for this report. I just fixed this on the trunk. We'll probably put out another beta relatively soon to resolve this.

Have you seen this? http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_experienced_an_error_updating_your_document_with_word_2010

There shouldn't be any problem with having two Firefox installs, but at the moment, only the MacWord integration plug-in has been tested on 64-bit Firefox. The 32-bit build of Firefox 4.0b10pre may work better for you. EDIT: The OOo plug-in works w…

Zotero Standalone requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later (as will Firefox 4). I'll update the documentation to make this clearer.
-
Try dragging Java SE 6 (32-bit) above Java SE 6 (64-bit) in /Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences. This works for me on a nightly build.
-
If you can submit one, a report ID would help track down the cause of your troubles.
-
Possibly the same bug as here, although again, I'd need a report ID (not a debug ID) to be sure.
-
You'd have to generate a report ID for me to confirm this, but I am pretty sure you're running into bug 620773, the patch for which didn't make it into Firefox 4.0b9. A nightly build should work, or alternatively, you can wait for 4.0b10.

Ticket created.

Go to Tools->Add-ons->Extensions and click the "Disable" button (or the "Remove" button) next to Zotero MacWord Integration.

This is happening. We are going to take a slightly different approach from the current connectors, and continue to run the translators in Firefox, but push the items back to Standalone. I'm still tweaking this to work. Eventually, we will also adapt…

What happens if you go to "Get Info" on Zotero and check "Open in 32-bit mode"? Does it run then, or do you get the same error?
-
The plug-ins should work in Zotero Standalone 2.1a2, available now. We should have automatic updating working for early adopters within 24 hours.
-
But more importantly, the plug-ins should already be installed in standalone, and we've determined that there's a bug that's preventing them from working. This will be fixed very soon.

What formatting changes are you making that make the document work? Would you mind sending a broken document to support@zot...org so that we can see if we can reproduce this?
-
Can you provide a report ID? Also, can you give a set of steps that reliably reproduce this bug? I just tried adding a footnote to a new (empty) document using Insert->Footnote and then adding a Zotero citation in Chicago Manual of Style Note wit…

Usually, this means there is a bug in your style. If you search the forums you can find a number of potential solutions. If none of these work, we'll need to know which style you are using.

This was fixed in r7671.

Glad to hear they're still there. There's a field shading preference in Word->Preferences->View that controls the gray shading for fields. While I don't have fresh installations to test on, I would guess that this was on by default in Word 200…
-
What do you mean by "it removed all the fields" (i.e., why do you think this)? What were you using to edit the document before?
-
Have you tried these steps?

Based on where the error is being thrown, I would hypothesize that this has something to do with the tables, but the error message is unfortunately not particularly informative. If you wouldn't mind sending the document to support@zot...org, I can t…

What are your paths? They need to be file URIs, not plain POSIX paths, which might be the issue.
