Even if Zotero were multithreaded, the underlying database wouldn't be, so it wouldn't help too much with search and indexing. But there are probably better ways to speed up these two functions.
-
I don't seen a Zotero error in that error report. Can you re-generate it after triggering the error and also go into more detail about what problem you're actually experiencing?
-
Two things are going on: dx.doi.org is redirecting you to Wiley, and Zotero is redirecting your Wiley link through your library proxy. For more info on the latter, see here. If you want to disable proxy support, uncheck the box and remove the proxie…

We need an error report.
-
Can you make a copy of the document, attempt to reproduce this, let Zotero finish running, and then email the file to support@zot...org? We've never heard of this happening before. For what it's worth, the Cancel keyboard shortcut is Microsoft's do…

If you are upgrading from OpenOffice.org 3 to LibreOffice, you need to click the "Detect Paths" button in the OpenOffice Integration preferences. If you are installing LibreOffice anew, everything should just work (provided that you have Zotero Open…
-
The default paths should also work in LibreOffice. You just need to click "Detect Paths" in the preferences if you are upgrading from OOo so that Zotero knows to look in the LibreOffice directory and not the OOo directory.

Disable Automatically remember proxied resources, or make sure Hulu isn't on the list.

We're aiming for beta in June and final in September.
-
That would be Mozilla deciding it would be a good idea to introduce a new security "feature" that breaks a good deal of our code in the penultimate Firefox beta. We've already fixed this for 2.1b6.
-
1) is a known issue; it's fixed on the trunk and it will be fixed in the next alpha.
-
There are updated instructions here, but they only apply to 2.1b6/the current trunk. (Tab support in 2.1b5 was preliminary.)
-
There will not be an official Win x64 build of Firefox 4. The build you link to is a nightly build, which is a snapshot of last night's trunk intended for testing purposes and not recommended for regular users. (It's also branded as Minefield and no…

All official builds of Firefox for Windows are 32-bit. They run perfectly fine on Windows 7 x64, and you can install pdftotext and pdfinfo from the Zotero preferences as usual. I highly recommend that you run the official 32-bit build. It will make …

adamsmith, thanks. I hadn't seen that. It looks like there's some code for the PDF plug-in component already available.

Zotero 2.1b6 will save items in a transaction. It takes me 12 seconds (3 to get the records from PubMed and 9 to save) on my >4 year old MacBook Pro, although it has an SSD, which might invalidate these results.
-
Done.
-
Thanks. I've tracked this down and it will be fixed in 2.1b6.
-
Works fine for me. You'll need to provide a report ID. Also, nothing will work in the Minefield nightly builds; they made a last minute API change that will break everything until 2.1b6.
-
This looks like a citeproc-js-related issue that will be fixed for 2.1b6. If you don't mind running even more untested software, you can try the trunk XPI, but 2.1b6 should be out in a week or so.

We have some plans for PDF annotation, but they will probably come relatively slowly. We essentially need a PDF browser plug-in with annotation support. We have some plans to add this to firefox-mac-pdf on OS X, but AFAIK there aren't any good open …

It looks like the Firefox and Standalone errors are different, although they could be related. Start by upgrading to Firefox 4.0b10; integration is known not to work with Firefox 4.0b9. If integration still doesn't work, try launching Firefox from t…

Can you generate a report ID from Firefox? The report from Standalone still indicates that Java is not being loaded at all.

Can you generate an error report?
-
Your error is java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file It seems like there are still traces of AppArmor interfering with Zotero. Try Dirius's steps at the bottom of the page here to disable AppArmor entirely.
-
Are you using the Click-to-Run version (i.e., did you purchase and download it online)? If so, see here.
-
The error report indicates a Java-related issue, but not the typical IcedTea problem (actually, it looks like maybe Java plug-in isn't loaded at all). Some ideas: 1) Are you on a x86_64 system (does "uname -p" show x86_64)? If so, you should instal…

Does integration work in Firefox?

What version of Word?

We will support 10.5, but Word integration may not work.
