You can set Zotero to load in a browser pane in the preferences, and open it and click the Toggle Tab Mode button in the upper right when you want to use it.
-
If you install Zotero 2.1rc2 and the new Word plug-in for it, it will probably fix this. Alternatively, try following these instructions.
-
Can you provide a report ID?
-
The error suggests the style file is corrupted in some way. Reinstalling from the repo should fix it.
-
That looks like a bug in your backup utility. The file is the pipe for communication between Zotero and Word. Is it possible to exclude it from your backup?
-
Tab mode won't save at all due to the same bug. It should be fixed in 2.1rc2.
-
Avram, that would be great. This has been on my to-do list for a while, but between getting out Zotero 2.1 and working on Standalone, I haven't gotten around to it.
-
This is fixed for 2.1rc2.

The paths have to be file:/// URIs. I'm redoing the way this works, but for now, adding file:// to the start of the paths you have above should be sufficient.
-
Dan, I switched from using persist attributes to serializing the data in the preferences so that it persists between the pane and the tab. jgr, can you confirm the following: 1) If you have only a single Firefox window open, and you change the tag…

Either your paths are wrong or there is something missing from your OpenOffice.org installation. What are they?
-
In my testing, I can reproduce this, but only in the Zotero tab. It doesn't happen in the pane. In the tab, the notifier is getting triggered twice, and the second time it blurs the field. I'm looking into it.

What version of Zotero are you using?
-
mcsugarfree, 2.1rc1 contains the fix from the trunk XPI. You should install it soon, because the trunk XPI may become unstable in a week or two.
-
urlwolf, the XPI is available here (use the OpenOffice.org Integration Trunk XPI, and heed the warning above). While I believe this will work out of the box with LibreOffice, to get it to work with the version of OpenOffice.org that ships with Ubunt…

Try fixing the paths manually (they're editable). If you're running Zotero 2.1, I can also give you a link to the (still not completely tested) next-generation OpenOffice.org plug-in, which might take care of this.
-
What platform are you on? Have you tried disabling custom extensions or themes? On OS X and Windows 7, I can't reproduce any of this.
-
Have you tried this? http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/12054/#Item_10

Upgrade to Zotero Standalone 2.1a3.
-
It's intended. Scaffold doesn't check the target regexp on detect; it only checks it if you click the "Test Regex" button.
-
You have a bookmark inside the last reference of your bibliography. ("78; Dunlap et al., 2000"). I'm not sure how it got there, but if you delete it (or if you delete and re-insert your bibliography) it should fix things.
-
There is no Word 2007 for Mac. Do you mean Word 2008? If so, check the script menu.
-
If it's with the Word plug-in it's not a Java issue. Can you generate a report ID after re-triggering the error? Also, make sure that the plug-in shows up in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions.

What happens if you make a new document, add a citation using APA style, and then delete it and copy and paste the citations from the old document into the new one? (If this works, please save the old document.)

Set entry-spacing="0" on

It seems like there were two issues at work here. The first was whatever was leading to the hang, which Frank seems to have fixed in the weeks since Zotero 2.1b7 was released. The second was a bug in the code that communicates with the word processo…

Since your work is due tomorrow, and this apparently worked previously, you could try downgrading to Zotero 2.1b5 and see if that works. Also, can you tell us what style you're using?
-
If conversion fails with an error, it's possible for the document to contain both Bookmarks and ReferenceMarks. If this is the case, new citations will be added according to the setting in Document Preferences, and Zotero will only recognize the typ…

What version of OpenOffice.org are you using? As I noted above, the official version (i.e., the one from OpenOffice.org, not the version distributed with Ubuntu and several other Linux distributions) should work. If you're still having issues, if yo…
