Can you provide the whole error message you get when you try to install 3.5b1?
-
Sorry about that. I've updated the changelog.
-
fringepod, the add-ons should be compatible with Firefox 6. meriam, that means exactly what it says. You would be best off upgrading your operating system to Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion), which are both $30 upgrades. Apple has Lion i…

The Zotero 3.0 beta doesn't yet import references from a document, but it is capable of formatting a document with references in it that aren't in your Zotero library. However, we have plans to import references before 3.0 final.
-
Not your fault: we are supposed to be showing a warning if PythonExt isn't installed, but apparently the newest release isn't doing that.
-
Perhaps you forgot to install PythonExt?
-
You should be able to change the style by clicking the Set Document Preferences button in the toolbar, and the document should work. What information are you trying to retrieve?
-
Provide a report ID after clicking the Install Word Add-in button again.
-
Correct.
-
FWIW, you can create themes for Zotero the same way you would create a skin for Firefox (see also instructions for Firefox 4). Modifying Zotero Files has details on how to extract the extension, after which you can find the default skin in chrome/sk…

You can pin the normal tab.
-
There will be an option to use a normal tab, which won't open automatically, instead of an app tab in the Zotero 3.0 beta (see http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/16781/prevent-zotero-from-autoopening-in-firefox-4-in-tab-mode/#Comment_100368).
-
FYI, we've applied voxel's patch on the trunk, and the changes will be available in the Zotero 3.0 beta.

Can you generate a debug ID?
-
It sounds like there's a reference in your document that's causing a problem (likely in a table or somewhere else not in the main text body). See http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents. If you …

What happens if you press the button to install in the Zotero preferences? Can you provide a report ID?
-
You have a file named "~$Zotero.dot" (not "Zotero.dot") in your Word startup directory, although I'm not sure why. Deleting it should fix things, although you may need to show hidden files to do so.
-
Where is the Zotero.dot file on your drive? (It should be listed in Word Options -> Add-Ins). If it's not in a directory listed under Trust Center -> Trusted Locations, that would explain this issue, although I'm not sure why the update to 3.1…

You can't use the old OpenOffice.org plug-in together with the Word plug-in version 3.1.2 or later. (Apparently I forgot to add the warning message to the new Word plug-in.) Disable one or the other, or install version 3.1.1 of the Word plug-in.
-
What platform are you on? I can't reproduce this on OS X.
-
Does this message appear when you click the buttons, or as soon as you open Word? If the latter, do the buttons work?
-
Can you generate a report ID after attempting to install it?
-
All components are now marked as compatible with Firefox 6.
-
Try going to the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences, and clicking the "Reset Styles" button.
-
OpenOffice users can see the citations, but can't change them.
-
Sometimes, it's called "Add-on 1". If it's not there, follow these instructions.
-
Make sure that "Fields" are selected in the Zotero Document Preferences. Bookmarks can't be inserted into footnotes.
-
The Zotero toolbar should be under View->Toolbars. Can you restart your computer and try again, and if you get another error, double check that the version of Zotero OpenOffice Integration listed under Tools->Extensions Manager is 3.5a2? Your…

You appear to be running an outdated version of the OpenOffice.org plugin. Download and install the latest version.
-
It should just appear, but if not, you should be able to open it under View->Toolbars->Zotero (or, on some systems for some inexplicable reason, View->Toolbars->Add-on 1).
