baharmas, can you generate a debug ID for the error and send the smallest portion of the document with which you can reproduce the error to support@zot...org?
-
I think this is improbable, since 3.0b2 and 2.1.10 use the same word processor plugins, and that's the only thing that would make a difference here. Are you sure there aren't other circumstances involved?

Your database is fine. The Zotero application itself isn't. Delete the application and reinstall it. If you still get this error, something weird is going on, and we would appreciate any information about how your system might be different from our …

Zotero already passes this information to citeproc-js. (properties.noteIndex is the note number, which is non-zero if and only if the citation is in a footnote/endnote.)
-
That should fix the issue in the next 3.0 beta, but as adamsmith notes, moving your data folder between machines is a better idea anyway.
-
This has never worked in OpenOffice.org. It doesn't matter to us whether the fields are unique or not, but OpenOffice.org enforces that they are and strips the code. We can't control how OpenOffice.org implements copy and paste, so there's no workar…

If you are using Word, or if you are using bookmarks in OpenOffice.org, try copying and pasting the document content into a new document to see if the problem goes away. You will need to click the “Set Document Preferences” button before your old ci…

Try moving the contents of /Library/ScriptingAdditions somewhere else and see if this fixes things. If it does, try moving the scripting additions back one by one until you isolate the one that's problematic.

I've updated the translator to fix this issue. Zotero should automatically pull the updated translator within 24 hours. Alternatively, you can click the "Update now" button in the Zotero preferences, and then restart your browser.
-
Provide a report ID after re-triggering the error.
-
Try installing Zotero normally. Then go to the extensions directory in your Firefox profile directory, and move the zotero@chnm.gmu.edu folder from there to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions.
-
The specific citation that causes the problem is probably in a weird place (e.g., text frame).
-
You don't have privileges to write to /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office/Startup. Fix this in "Get Info" (or by deleting the directory) and it will work.
-
Update to Zotero 2.1.10.
-
It should be fine to uninstall and reinstall. Just don't check the box to delete your data while uninstalling.
-
If you install Zotero into the global extensions directory, it should work just fine.
-
This works fine for me, so I am guessing there is some kind of configuration issue. (There are apparently many places to store proxy settings on a Linux system, and it's possible only some are set properly.) You can try going to Zotero Preferences-&…

Either you are firewalling 127.0.0.1, which seems unlikely, or it is almost certainly the same bug reported by Charpente. I'm afraid I can't help you beyond suggesting that you try IcedTea instead of Sun Java, or disable IPv6. Zotero OpenOffice Inte…

Zotero Standalone should use your system proxy settings, as in most other applications, and as in Firefox if you choose the "Use system proxy settings" option in the preferences (which is the default). Make sure that 1) your proxy settings are set c…

Try the instructions I posted at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/19361/danish-word-2011-freezes-when-i-access-zotero-menu/

This should just work, although there's no transparent redirection in Zotero connectors. What do URLs from your proxy look like?
-
I think the plugin already prevents you from adding citations to text frames ("Zotero fields cannot be inserted here"), but maybe the error message needs to be amended to warn users not to try to copy and paste Zotero fields there either.
-
I just tested putting everything in /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/extensions here and it works fine with a new profile. (This is the same basic directory structure we use in Zotero Standalone, so it better.) Are you sure that Zotero and Z…

Did you set the extensions.zotero.httpServer.enabled hidden preference to true in Firefox? If so, that is probabling interfering with saving to Zotero Standalone.
-
We can fix this in the next PythonExt build, but for now, you could put it in /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/extensions and I think it ought to work.
-
Also, generate a report ID from within Chrome after re-triggering the error.

I've described the changes in Zotero 3 above, but we won't be merging them back to 2.1 (and it's quite possible there will be no more 2.1 releases before 3.0).
-
MG6, it's unclear what you're asking for, and whether or not it has already been implemented in Zotero 3.0 beta.
-
This should be fixed in 2.1.10, available now.
