Reinstalling Word won't help, since the scripts are stored in your user data directory instead of with Word. If you search your computer for files named Add Citation\coa.scpt or Add Citation.scpt, are there copies anywhere else?
-
There's no error in the error report, but I think I've probably already fixed this. Just waiting for Dan to push the fix.
-
I don't think this has changed. Zotero doesn't (and can't) control what is included in the word count.
-
This is almost certainly a language-related issue. The reason the scripts don't work is that they are outdated, probably because the wrong scripts are being updated. Do you have a ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data directory? Do you have a ~/Documents…

If you follow the instructions at http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#scripts_do_not_appear_in_word_20082011_or_are_incompatible, they should fix this

You don't need PythonExt. The update to Firefox 11 shouldn't have wiped out anything, but with start with http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#where_did_my_items_go

Do you have a case-sensitive file system? If so, see http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/19452/. I sent a patch for this to Mozilla but it will be another 12 weeks before it makes it through the release process.

puniyaa, are you sure that's the error you're getting? The error in your error report is [JavaScript Error: "value is undefined" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/citeproc.js" line: 4480}] If that's the error you're getting, you should start a n…

What versions of Firefox, Word, and the Word plugin?

I guess we should add guards against overflow here, but 999,999,999 characters is >100,000 pages of text.
-
For anyone finding this thread, this problem should be fixed in the latest version of the Word for Mac plugin.

The most likely cause of this is that you inserted a bibliography in the wrong place, and then deleted the text but not the field code. You can delete the whole bibliography once it reappears (you may have to delete the adjacent character on either …

Mark Alan Singer: Word for Mac integration 3.5 and later don't require PythonExt. If you upgrade to Firefox 11, you'll get this automatically. luciazumarraga: Word for Windows integration works with Firefox 11 and Zotero Standalone, and this doesn'…

This may be related to this issue. Since no Zotero functionality gets called when you place the cursor in the bibliography unless you press a button in the Zotero toolbar afterward, we're unlikely to be able to help much. If you can't add new citati…

Start by upgrading to Zotero 3.0.3 (and, while you're at it, Mac OS X 10.5.8; 10.5.5 has significant security issues). If the problem persists, see http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_toolbar_doesn_t_appear and…

If you can try installing the MacWord Integration XPI again, I think I may actually have a working fix.
-
We had to completely rewrite the Word plugin to work with Firefox 11, and apparently it still has a few bugs in it. I think I found a potential cause of this. Can you try installing the MacWord Integration Trunk XPI and see if that fixes the issue? …
-
I'm having trouble reproducing this. Does it matter what style you use? Does it happen in a completely new document?

Provide a report ID after re-triggering the error.

If someone wants to submit a pull request on GitHub to add this, we'd take it. The patch above didn't get merged because it changed a lot of other functionality in ways our contributors found undesirable, and no one made an effort to split out the i…

Do you have a case-sensitive file system? If so, this might be the cause. We'll have a potential fix shortly.

The new Word plugin doesn't require PythonExt.

However, you can retrieve metadata for the PDFs relatively easily: http://www.zotero.org/support/retrieve_pdf_metadata
-
This should work for most sites, but I don't think it will work for EBSCOhost because it serves PDFs from a different subdomain from full text articles. We will explore solutions for a future release.
-
In principle, this should work. Make sure you also have Zotero Connector for Chrome 3.0.3, and if you do, generate a debug ID from Zotero Standalone for a save attempt that doesn't save the PDF or saves the wrong snapshot.

Update Safari, and the rest of your system software, by going to System Preferences->Software Update->Check Now. Both OS X 10.6.1 and Safari 4.0.3 are several years out of date and contain security bugs.

adamsmith: It sounds like this is about the Word plugin. jennywalker: Have you tried these steps?
