Those PDFs don't have any OCRed text because they are from 1995. I don't think this is a problem for Nature PDFs from the last 10 years. You can save the metadata using the folder icon in the address bar (although it may take a little to load the l…

Try deleting the locate directory in your Zotero directory and restarting Zotero.

The plugin will work fine with Word 2010 x64. It won't work with Waterfox. Either install the standard version of Firefox or install Zotero Standalone and use the plugin through that.
-
Try these instructions. The error message is different because the plugin has been rewritten, but I think the cause may be the same.
-
If you quit Word while Zotero is trying to show a dialog box, you'll get that error. If you're sure you haven't changed the citations that are highlighted, would you mind sending a document that reproduces the issue to support@zotero.org?
-
djpatterson: provide a report ID after retriggering the error. Also, does this happen in a new document?
-
qenghis: that ProQuest page won't work through a proxy at the moment, because the PDF is on a different domain from the page being saved. However, a workaround for this is next on my list.

One post per issue is sufficient.

[JavaScript Error: "value is undefined" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/citeproc.js" line: 4480}] I think we've seen at least one other report of this, but I don't remember the resolution. fbennett will need to advise.

Right-click and select "Save Zotero Snapshot from Current Page."

What versions of Firefox, Zotero, and the Word plugin?
-
Did you empty the trash in Zotero?

Can you provide a report ID after clicking the green arrow?

What kind of hardware do you have? I think I may have an optimization that will speed this up a little bit, but probably not by more than a factor of two, which is still going to be slow. The fields are taking 10 seconds to retrieve, and I don't thi…

sorex: Neither PubMed nor Web of Science provide PDFs. Zotero can only download PDFs from databases that provide them, which usually means journal websites. Closing this thread, because, while there are probably more PDF-related issues to be found,…

Can you reproduce the error again just by unchecking that preference? I don't really understand how this would make a difference, since the code that threw the error above is executed long before any code that depends on that preference.

The way to get this included in the main Zotero distribution would be to split up the separate features into separate patches and submit separate pull requests on GitHub.
-
Not sure if this will fix it, by try deleting mimeTypes.rdf in your Firefox profile directory.
-
We've seen one other report of this, but we don't know the cause and we can't reproduce it. You might start by disabling other Firefox extensions, if you have any, and any other software that might change the way windows behave. If any of this helps…

What style are you using? Does this happen for any item, or only a specific item?
-
Can you generate another report ID? I'm pretty sure there should be an error for this, but I don't see one in that report.
-
Try restarting your computer.

Can you generate a report ID with the new version after re-triggering the error?
-
The other thing that you might try is moving the file Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2011/OLE Registration Database to the desktop with Word closed, and then opening Word again. (On Lion and later, you should be able to open Library by holding…

While I'm not entirely sure, I doubt this is related to the plugin upgrade. (The errors you're getting, particularly that AttributeError, suggest that Word's AppleScript functionality and Visual Basic functionality aren't working properly.) Standalo…

It sounds like Visual Basic for Applications isn't installed or isn't functioning properly in Word. This may help.

What error messages do you get?
-
Do the Zotero scripts in the script menu work?

It's fixed in Word for Mac Integration 3.5.2, available now.
