Simon, the problem isn't when running Firefox, only when running Zotero Standalone. The * double-click (bringing up the favourites panel) works fine in Firefox, and so does the new-style Zotero insert citation dialogue when running Zotero in Firefox…

You should start by updating to Mac OS X 10.6.8. 10.6.2 is outdated and insecure, and this issue may be fixed in newer versions.
-
amc: thanks for the potential lead. We'd obviously like to fix this as well, although we have yet to be able to reproduce it with or without Aero. It might be useful to know what graphics cards people have, and whether other Firefox panels work (e.…

When Firefox crashes, you should get an option to submit a crash report. Can you submit one (if you haven't already), go to the URL about:crashes in the Firefox address bar, click on the most recent crash, and post the URL here?
-
I'm still not sure what you mean by "page flashes," but if you can send the document to support@zotero.org I can see if I can reproduce the issue.
-
What do you mean by "flashing page"? Often Word it will take a few seconds for your document to update after you have selected citations, and this is normal. Does this happen in any document, or just a specific document? Is it reproducible?

Squeeze is on Iceweasel 3.5, which is really old. You would have to install Firefox from the tarball on Mozilla's website, or else compile a newer version of Firefox or Iceweasel yourself.
-
Have you tried downloading the latest version? This was an issue in Zotero 3.0.4, but it has been fixed.
-
It looks like Safari doesn't pass cookies when making HTTP requests from an extension, at least the way we are doing it now. I think I can implement a partial workaround for this that should at least get JSTOR to work.

Mozilla is now blocking the broken Acrobat plugin until Adobe fixes it.
-
First, if you can, try installing LibreOffice. It's two releases ahead of OpenOffice.org, because most of the developers jumped ship, and it might fix this issue. If you can't install LibreOffice, or if installing LibreOffice doesn't help, let us k…

If Zotero for Firefox and Zotero Standalone are both open but don't share a data directory, the plugin still talks to Zotero Standalone. If the plugin isn't working with Zotero for Firefox when Zotero Standalone is closed, it's possible that securi…

The issue in this thread and the issue in that thread are both unrelated. They would cause Zotero/Firefox to close immediately. There is no way they could produce a hang. Additionally, I'm pretty sure they were fixed in Zotero 3.0.4. If you can gen…

The MacWord Integration Trunk XPI should fix things for now. You'll want to install the next official release of the plugin manually when it comes out, which will probably be in a week or so.
-
Don't worry about it. Things are fine the way they are, and they won't change if you click the button. If the toolbar works at all, then you shouldn't worry about whether or not it's up to date. If you're curious, the toolbar is a minimal stub to c…

Thanks. This will be fixed in the next release.
-
I can't reproduce this with a minimal document. Would you mind sending the document to support@zotero.org? Also, if you press the refresh button after receiving the error, does it fill in the citations?
-
meelis.friedenthal: After reproducing the crash and electing to report it, go to about:crashes and provide the report ID for the crash. As for speed differences between Windows and Linux, I'm afraid it's unlikely there's anything we can do. The cod…

If the box to store references in the document is checked, this isn't supposed to happen. Would you mind emailing the document to support@zotero.org so that we can take a look?
-
Start by upgrading to Zotero 3.0.5. (If you choose Zotero->Check for Updates, it should download automatically.)
-
Assuming the cause of your crash was the same as the cause of this crash, it should be fixed in Zotero Standalone 3.0.4.1, available now.
-
run-zotero.sh runs the Zotero binary, but also sets LD_LIBRARY_PATH so that if you have a different versions of the included library installed elsewhere on your system they don't override the packaged libraries. This was necessary for some older ver…

This sounds great, and using the Zotero name is fine with us. This will certainly require some changes to the way the build works, but I don't think it should require changes to the code base. If you run into any trouble, feel free to ask questions …

Your document is fine. Read http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#stringindexoutofboundsexception_inserting_a_footnote_or_bibliography_with_libreoffice_35, disable the unstable features, and restart Firefox.
-
There's nothing in those reports besides an XML syntax error, which should be benign. A debug ID could be more informative.
-
We support RTF because it enjoys wider word processor support than any other format besides plain text. While it's not an open standard, there is a published specification. If you would like the extend this feature to support other document format…

Word for Mac Integration 3.5.3 is marked as compatible with Firefox 4-13 and it works fine for me. Make sure you have the latest version of the Word plugin.

I have done my homework and research for answers all day but cant find anything to solve my problem. Here are two problems. I downloaded Zotero for firefox. It is supposed to work with word without any plug ins. Is this correct? No. You need to inst…
