Actually, there were apparently a couple reports, which were both resolved by deleting the LibreOffice config directory. I've added this to the troubleshooting page.
-
I don't think we've had any previous reports of this issue. If you don't mind clearing your LibreOffice settings, you could remove the /home/moses/.config/libreoffice directory, open and close LibreOffice, and then try reinstalling the LibreOffice e…

Try /Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/MacOS/zotero-bin /Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/Resources/application.ini -jsconsole and see if that opens the error console.
-
What error do you get when you attempt to perform a manual installation?
-
Done.
-
I think this is fixed in the dev build (and will be fixed in 4.0 final).
-
What do you mean by "stops working"? Does you see an error message or does it just hang?

Sorry for dropping this. Is their EZProxy set up for proxy by port? If so, https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/28505/ might be relevant. Otherwise, it might help to have an idea of what the pattern of requests looks like. If you'd rather not post i…

I've fixed this for 4.0 and verified that requests (8) and (9) no longer happen. Unless you see a way (6) would be problematic on its own, or you know a way to get mappings from EZProxy ports to domains without it, we will keep doing it.
-
The code exists specifically to find the domains of proxy-by-port EZProxies when one proxy-by-port EZProxy links or redirects to another. It isn't executed under any other circumstances. I'm not entirely sure what would cause the loop, but I'm pret…
-
Without making the request in (6), Zotero has no way of knowing what domain port 2072 corresponds to. It gets this information by inspecting the login parameter of the redirect from 2072 to 2048 when no cookies are supplied. However, it should be po…

It would be pretty confusing if Zotero for Firefox saved to one library when Zotero Standalone is closed and a different library when Zotero Standalone is open. Why can't you point Zotero for Firefox toward the portable version's data directory?
-
aurimas: If you don't want to spend time on this, it'd be trivial to call Document.normalize() before passing the RDF to rdflib, which should merge adjacent text nodes.
-
I've submitted a fix for the issue to the pdf.js developers. It works, but I'm not sure it's the right fix.
-
What version of Zotero LibreOffice Integration is listed in LibreOffice under Tools->Extension Manager? In the LibreOffice preferences, under LibreOffice->Advanced, is a Java runtime environment listed and selected?
-
What version of the LibreOffice plugin do you have? The latest is 3.5.5.

It seems like it's saving the item for me, but for some reason the item isn't making its way back to the bookmarklet, so the bookmarklet throws an error even though translation was successful. We'll look into it.

Word's AutoFormat feature adds hyperlinks automatically. In Word for Mac, it's Format->AutoFormat. You can add it to the quick access toolbar in Word for Windows.
-
It seems like you accidentally extended a Zotero bookmark so that it encompasses the majority of your document. This is a general problem with bookmarks, since LibreOffice does not provide an easy way to know whether or not you are typing within one…

If you can send the document to support@zotero.org, I'll take a look.

This should be fixed in Zotero Standalone 3.0.14.1, available now.
-
Never mind. I tracked down the issue. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=843428 for the technical details. I'm working on a fix.
-
Huh, that's not exactly the output I was hoping for. Try: /Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/MacOS/zotero-bin /Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/Resources/application.ini and see if that actually opens Zotero. If not, try sudo dtruss -t open /Applicat…

bjsmith: this discussion is fine, since it's likely to be the same issue. Assuming your have Zotero installed in Applications, try the following command in Terminal: sudo dtruss -f -t open sudo -u "$USER" /Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/MacOS/zote…

I'm not having any luck reproducing this on my 10.6.8 test system. ssx6: when you tried to open Zotero from the terminal, did you use the open command or try to run the executable directly? If the former, try the instructions from the real-time debu…

It looks like that error came from an old version of Zotero Standalone. As far as I know, it shouldn't happen with Zotero Standalone 3.0.13 or later.

Try following these instructions to rebuild the Launch Services database.

Zotero LibreOffice Integration 3.5.5 is now available with a fix for this issue. You can download it from here. Once you're sure that it fixes the issue, you should re-enable automatic updates.
