Look at the title bar of the middle column...where you see "Title," "Creator," etc. There is a small triangle in one of them. The window is sorted by that column. To sort by another column, click that heading. To sort the same column, but in the o…

On its way. It couldn't find the profiles directory.

Got it! Thanks Codec....but... It seemed to install fine...at least no errors reported, but no new Chicago style shows up in the drop down box. And and Chicago with and without references still cite incorrectly in Word. Thanks anyway. I guess w…

I'm interested in the Chicago Style: with reference list. Please send the .bat file (and any pertinent instructions) to u692016_zotero "at" dslr.net Thanks!

Thanks Codec! I've never added anything manually. Is it easy to do? There's probably a link that explains how to do it. I just can't seem to find it. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Is there any hope that this will be resolved in the next 2-3 days? I just got a call from a Spanish-speaking friend who told me he accidentally updated FireFox (clicked OK before thinking). He was going to wait to update until after his two majo…

Another program that does this is Copernic Desktop Search 2

Hmmm. That would be a good idea ... if I knew where that was. It happened early on in the day, and I kept working, doing things manually. I ended up doing the Bibliography through Zotero/copy to clipboard instead of generating it through the Word M…

Hmmmm. Can you give me any clues as to what to look for?

DITTO!! Exactly! Right down to the deadline! (Yes, I realize it's ALPHAware...that's why I didn't write my self.) I used it a couple months for a major paper, and it worked great! Suddenly today...not! Help?

Sean, You said "ATLA is already supported through OVID" On March 19, Scot said "I can use ATLA through EBSCOhost with somewhat better success." I have subscribed to ATLA (actually, ATLAS) through their website. How do I access their database thr…

All is well now!!! You fixed it. You da man! Thanks.

No, I had NOT sent an error report from the last time. I just assumed it was the same. I just now sent in a new report. My backup is zotero.sqlite.27.bak. Will that work? Thanks for your help! EDIT: I downloaded 1.0.0b4.r2 from the link you gave…

While I'm waiting for a solution to the database problem, is there any way to roll back to a previous version? I'm dead in the water right at the moment and have some significant projects due. (I know it's beta, but it's been working soooo well! :…

I'm still getting the error. I downloaded in IE7, then dragged the xpi into Zotero. (Is there more to that than literally dragging the file into an open Firefox window?) It seemed to install, but I got the same error.

This week?? That would be great! (But no pressure. :-) )

This is what the FAQ says: "Will I be able to use Zotero with Internet Explorer or some other browser? No. We cannot reproduce the functionality of Zotero in most other browsers because of the way other browsers work with extensions. It is possib…

This is apparently coming in a "(near) future release)". See this post: Duplicate Detection Edit: Fixed link

Thanks! Thats what I wanted to know!!

Since we are on this subject... How does Zotero compare/contrast with Scribe3? I started using Scribe, then ran across Zotero since both are products of CHnM. Should I stick with Scribe or take the plunge with Zotero. Right now I'm kinda playing…

Ah!! OK, that makes sense. I guess I should just enter the ISBN in the Amazon search box (gotta love FireFox, no? ) :) Thanks!!

I was just getting ready to post on this topic, but thought I better read through the forum first. And sure enough, here it is. I hope this is coming in the VERY near future. I understand there are complexities involved, and in some cases one migh…

If you click on the word "Author," a dropdown box appears with "Editor" as an option. Is that what you are looking for?

American Theological Library Association . This is a subscription site, but I will be spending a LOT of time here over the next 4 years, so if Zotero can read it, it will save me lots of time. I'm mainly interested in the Serials subscription.
