No problem. Glad to help.
-
There sure is. Try pressing the "-" key to collapse, and the "+" key to open. Check out this thread: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1640/ It might take a while if your collection is large.
-
You need to export from one and import into the other. There is currently not "slick" way of doing it. Check out these threads: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2046/ http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1825/

I actually prefer it the other way around. When the file name has the .pdf extension, it opens externally in Acrobat. I simply rename the file by deleting the extension, and it opens in FireFox. Maybe you need to ADD the extension?
-
Yes there is. You can find it here.
-
Certainly not quite what you are wanting, but you can create a new collection and make it a container that you can drag and drop other collections into. That can help with organizing a haphazard list of collections. You can also rename a collectio…

Your Zotero seems to be out of date: it is now Zotero 1.0.2 .
-
It appears that this is complicated request, but is apparently coming in a "(near) future release)". See this post: Duplicate Detection I hope it comes soon! (Or maybe it sneaked in a recent update and I'm not aware of it! :))
-
Zotero: What were you referring to?
-
Well, what do you know! Thanks!
-
Same here (FF 2.0.0.11 and Win XP). Notes don't drag and drop either. Report errors is not activated.
-
Lots of enhancements are in the works, but for now I think you need to back up (and recopy) your whole Zotero folder. Check out this FAQ and also This FAQ.

I don't use Chicago, so I can't say for sure, but I think in the last couple of days they have fixed a number of things. I think the style was updated automatically (if you have the most recent versions of both Zotero and the Word plug in). In othe…

If you are using Windows, ctrl-a will select all. (I'm assuming an English version of Windows. I think other languages might use a different key.)
-
Sweet! This has probably been posted before, and I missed it. It has been frustrating me too. Thanks Dan!
-
I might not understand what you are trying to do, but if the notes window disappears when you click on another window, could you resize both windows so that they are both have their own real estate? Or, do what I do...2 monitors!
-
It's in the works. Dan Cohen said "We're definitely going to have duplicate detection in a (near) future release. There are, however, some complexities to doing this right--e.g., if there are minor variations in the metadata for two books that ar…

miluska, Are you using an English version of Zotero, or a different language? Also, you said you "Erased Zoter folder from Mozilla folder (where my old stored documents used to be)"... Did you restore that folder? If not, you have deleted all of…

The platform is the operating system of your computer. Is it Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, Linux? What do you mean by the view option? What did it show you when it worked?
-
miluska...Dan IS the Man!! :)

As far as I know, this is the best place. Hopefully someone will be along shortly. If it's any consolation...I feel your Pain!!!

TOMORROW??

Usually they respond fairly quickly, sometimes it takes a few days. It probably depends on how many crises they are dealing with at the time! Are you facing an urgent deadline?
-
OH! Wait! I do have one more suggestion: In the wheel/cog icon there is an option to "Report Errors." You might want try if you haven't already. :)
-
One more question, what version of FireFox are you using? If you don't have the most recent (2.0.0.9) upgrade and see if that helps. If that doesn't help, I think I'm out of suggestions...You'll need to wait for help from someone more knowledgeab…
-
Yes, v. 1.0.1 is what you get from the home page now. To confirm your version number, click on the "cog" or "wheel" icon in the top row of the Zotero window. Then click "About Zotero." At the top you will see the version number. Oh, btw, are on a …

Thanks Dan! I'm going to wait.

Do you mean the button in the address bar to click to automatically save the bibliographic information? If so, that doesn't appear on all sites; only those configured to be Zotero friendly. You may need to add the reference manually (the green cir…

Are you using the most recent (1.0.1) version of Zotero?
-
First, make sure you have upgraded to the most recent version of Zotero (1.0.1) and the Word plugin. Now, when you are adding a citation in Word, and you want to suppress the author's name, check the box (under the drop-down box for page at the b…
