If you just downloaded Zotero, I'm pretty sure you have the current version: 1.0.9. You can confirm that by clicking on the gear icon, then About Zotero. However, about the "no tabs in right column", check out this link: http://www.zotero.org/suppo…

I read this thread as it was developing and just re-read it, but maybe I missed something. If I had to make multiple bibliographies based on ITEM TYPE right now first I'd: 1. Put all my references that I've cited into a collection. Then, 2. S…

I can't help you counting unique citations, but if I had to keep track of total references, I'd insert the Bibliography, then, after a couple of references I'd select all the Bibliography and click "Numbering." That will give you a running count of …

If you begin your search with quotation mark ("), the search will not begin until you press enter. You do not need to end it with a ".

What have you tried that doesn't work? I just select the citation then press delete or right-click/cut. NOTE: The citation is already grey, but that doesn't mean it's selected. You need to actually select (highlight) the citation before deleting.

Is your tag selector open? If so, close it, or reduce it's height and see if that helps.

Open the tag selector box, then select the items you want to tag, then drag and drop them onto the tag.

Well, part of my problem is solved. I had to add all the journals to the abbreviations.txt file. Now it picks up the journal, but still not the volume number. I also discovered that it is doing all this heuristically. It apparently scans the rege…

Alot of those things are in the works. Just search for things like "stars" or "tag cloud" etc. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Check out Dan's comment in this thread: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3649/errors-were-found-in-the-zotero-database/ Also note that import/export isn't the recommended way to use the same library on multiple computers. It's better to just copy…

Hey, what's that little triangle that's just shown up by author??? Isn't that a little confusing? j/k Only 5 days to get that incorporated. Good job Team Z!

This is not a page that automatically feeds to Zotero. This is what I did and it worked: 1. click "export citation" 2. in the window that opens up, click either citation or citation + abstract 3. Click file format: RIS 4. when it asks you if…
